Yeah that crash sucked! He is going to need a new bonnet (or at least some heavy pannel beating on it), front bar (which apparently he has one at home [YAY for him]), intercooler seemed fine, right hand side indicator was crack (but not broken), and the mounts for the front bar will need to be bent/fixed up. I'm asking around for parts and stuff.....I may not know him but you know SAU'ers and Nissan and lovers we have to stick up for one another! ... Well the day was awesome and final battle was pretty sweet....but one thing annoyed the hell out of me....the DAMN gail force propelled dirt. MEH! Just when I got home and had a shower, the water coming out of my hair was black! Some of the Autosalon cars were just drewlable. Did anyone catch that JDM 350z? Or the two very sexual 32GT-R's? How is the indicator sitch Richard? Shouldn't be too hard to get another...should it? I have a few pics I took of the cruise up and when we were at Maccas on my phone (alright cam') and I'll post them up here in the next few days. I may have only been in a little BMW but did anyone catch the looks we were getting from kids and families on the highway....? <<< In a good way! -
Hey mate, sorry for the late reply. I havent been well recently. Well myself and Reece will be there on the 20th our numbers are 0411487633 and 0423958366. Really hope to see some of our fellow SAU'ers there.

Yeah no problems at all! I am on my P's also (I have such a love hate relationship with myself..... but dont get me wrong I dont really ever love myself ..... I am a P plater and I don't really like P plater drivers....I think the stereo type that we are bad drivers even rubs off onto ourselves) Oh and yes, yes I shall be there on the 20th.

Oh that one is such an oldie but a goldie. Given the recent trend of Chuck Norrie jokes! I thought I might pop on a few of my favourite ones (I know they are all very sad and lame): Chuck Norris uses ribbed condoms inside out, so he gets the pleasure. Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried. Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants. Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter he grew a beard. Since 1940, the year Chuck Norris was born, roundhouse kick related deaths have increased 13,000 percent. Filming on location for Walker: Texas Ranger, Chuck Norris brought a stillborn baby lamb back to life by giving it a prolonged beard rub. Shortly after the farm animal sprang back to life and a crowd had gathered, Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked the animal, breaking its neck, to remind the crew once more that Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away. Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits. Chuck Norris was the fourth Wiseman. He brought baby Jesus the gift of "beard". Jesus wore it proudly to his dying day. The other Wisemen, jealous of Jesus' obvious gift favoritism, used their combined influence to have Chuck omitted from the Bible. Shortly after all three died of roundhouse kick related deaths. The chief export of Chuck Norris is pain. Chuck Norris recently had the idea to sell his urine as a canned beverage. We know this beverage as Red Bull. If you can see Chuck Norris, he can see you. If you can't see Chuck Norris, you may be only seconds away from death. If you want a list of Chuck Norris' enemies, just check the extinct species list. One time while sparring with Wolverine, Chuck Norris accidentally lost his left testicle. You might be familiar with it to this very day by its technical term: Jupiter.

I'm not sure but I think we can make a booking around that time anyway. I know myself and Reece (TURISMO) and going to the public one also. Look, how about we do this.... LIST! Simply put your name and mobile down in a post and once we have about 8 we can organise a time when we can all meet. 1. Pat (DJ_On_ice) 0411487633 2. Reece (TURISMO) 0423958366 3. Steve 0431121840 4. Leech FIVE! WE'RE GOING FOR FIVE!

Nup, different guy and company. Ah yes the drop out rate is high BUT we have one small thing that helps there be as small a drop out rate as possible.... prior payment! You have to pay before you go! So what we could do is set a date in the not too distant futur but certainly enough time to organise 8 people and then we could pay for oursleves. Anyone drops out - thats fine! Because Dereck get his money and we still get to go to the Skid Pan (in fact its actually better the fewer people there are as you have more time and more opportunities to get out on the Pan) .
-
LOL Nice work....yeah the non public sessions thing is something that reece and I have been organising with some friends but I definately think that we should get an SAU day organised. Teacher and students all with Liners!....Well bar one underpowered BMW....but hopefully that will be gone soon or at least I'll have my track car. I just realised aside from the SAU day which I would like to do I am going to one (should we get enough people) for a mates birthday.....Isn't Dereck going to be happy that he met us!
-
Well I'm not sure if the next "Skid & Drift" day will be the same special $99 price but even if it is the normal $125 price it's still worth it. I was thinking that if we could stir up enough interest through SAU and regularyly had days there then we might get a nice little discount...but.... I really dont mind spending the normal price.
-
Mate.....you have absolutely NO IDEA how interested I am!...ONE SMALL PROBLEM..... Until A. I sell my car, and B. I hear back about my new job I remain unable to make any decisions about my puchase of cars. Probly just bad luck that something which is precisely what I'm looking for has to come up!.... I hope who ever does buy it respects it. Beautiful car!

Hey Guys & Gals, Reece (Turismo) & I went today to one of these Skid and Dift days - run by Dereck (owner and operator of Fifthgear Motorsports) and it was money well spent!....SERIOUSLY. We started at about 8:15 and left after washing our cars at about 13:15 or so. So all in all a fair few hours of driving and tutorial. Well worth the money! If you are wanting to tune your drifting skills, or just go out and go rank! Then you should definately look into the Skid and Drift days. However, Fifthgear offers alot more, ie; Defensive driving courses, Advanced driving courses and you can buy your self some time in Derecks car (a quite nicely modded, but simple track R32 GT-R...running at about 400HP). Dereck is a very approachable bloke who is very good at finding a way to explain in a way you can understand anda way that can be benefictial to you, just how you need to improve your method of driving to get to the outcome you want. We both highly recomend Fifthgear Motorsport!

How bout an SAU ACT business thread?
DJ_On_Ice replied to Veilside R33's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Suuuup', Well I was a UNI bumpkin last year (going back next year), but I'm pretty much working in odd jobs now and then through this year...attempting to get a job with the APS.... YAY "cushy" gov' job! I do have a partime job with Northrop (an engineering company) in Phillip as a "street light maintenace inspector" (fancy name for street light inspector). However, l did work at Duratone Hi-Fi in Phillip, so I know my stereo and general IT stuff (technical term). HOPEFULLY!!! Soon to be getting myself a 'Line. Found a quite nice stock 32 GTS-T with 3 year warrenty!!! It's 13k - pricey for a GTS-T I know but of course I'm going to haggle! I'm just rather taken with it because it really is in such good condition. Catch you guys later! Pat P.S. Marc, should I get this GTS-T I'm going to be looking into getting some new tyres and a set wheels. Nothing for really flash but something light, well made and yes does look good. Any adivce? And could you hook me up with a good deal at all (of course I shall remain loyal for tyre purchases lol)? -
DAMN STRAIGHT!
-
Thanks guys. Also thanks for the offer rebelde but I won't be doing it just yet as two reasons: I'm not sure if I want to keep my current car (which I may get re-sprayed) and the second being I'm looking into it more for when I get either a Skyline or 200sx (which I may have to get re-sprayed because I want a flawlessly beautiful car lol)....

I've had my rant! LOL

Funny how there are no Police where there should be - stopping the little s&%hs who are out vandalizing people's property etc! But there is an abundance of Police out on the roads - driving around with nothing better to do other then pull over anyone who is young/driving a "hot" car (particularly imports)/RBT’ing any P plater they see and just generally wasting tax payers money by not doing what they are paid for - PROTECTING US! Funny how, despite the amount of money the system gets through the excessive amount of speed traps and cameras out in Canberra, A.K.A. revenue raising (but that’s not what it is....it's for our protection...mhmmm) we don't have enough in that system for some Police to come out to you. We do however have the money for a stupid amount of un-needed "Speed Camera's used in Canberra - 50KM/hr unless posted otherwise" signs to be put around our roads. I myself recently had to call the Police to ask what my options where with regards to this guy who.....long story short knows my GF and had reason to believe I rocked his house (I didn't) and had vowed, my house, or car, or myself were going to get messed-up. They basically said they couldn't do anything.... my GF had SMS's saying he would do something and even in the even something did happen - they couldn’t prove it was him. So... fine I'll take the law into my own hands. Sorry if I seem like some hateful deviant who for no good reason has a major resentment of the system but it doesn't work!!! For the amount of crap good people flack from Police when they are the wronged ones I don't see how they can really call them selves "law enforcement". Law is supposed to be in place so we can have justice. Hope you find the guy your looking for mate. Good-luck
-
Hi guys, Long time no speak! Just wondering if you could impart some knowledge on me...where in Canberra is a good place to get your car re-sprayed? And how much would these places cost (approximately of course)? I'm not looking for a $15K showroom re-spray but I don’t want a dodgy - "it'll crack on you within a few months" job either. I don't really know a lot about paints and what affects the prices of them but I do want a reasonable metallic paint. Thanks guys'n'gals. Pat

ah its sad day and im sure you will miss ur ride....but im sure she shall be taken care of and hopefully stay in the realms of SAU ...*hint hint tim *

Hey guys, tis I Pat. THANKS TO THOSE THAT SHOWED!!! Thank you Phil, Nath, Rachel and Shawn and to the dude with the R31 - hope your car didn't cause you too many problems and thanks for turning up all the same. We had a great night and your cars certainly kicked us off with a great start. As Reece said...Phil thank you for our GT-R fix and I look forward to my next cruise in your car ...a very nice Skyline indeed.
