Different engine choice ??
myothercarsa2cv replied to fastfu's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
It’s also different ECU and canbus for everything else as I understand it, you’ll need the dash too etc. -
Different engine choice ??
myothercarsa2cv replied to fastfu's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
It’s a VQ35DE no? Loads of 350zs about, loads of parts, shouldn’t be an issue to swap/rebuild. The VQ25DET is not a swap you want to do unless you want to do an everything swap. -
Need help with vq25det!

Where are you Sergey? I have a spare standard ECU in the UK if helpful. -

Last few remaining. Be nice to finally break even on these [emoji23] -
I read somewhere that the motor can benefit from a refresh and I’m sure there’s a how to on a US G35/V35 forum somewhere... I just fixed my stutter with some new blades but have fresh linkages ready to go in just in case. Was really hoping it was one of the two and not the motor! Sounds like you might be unlucky

NM35 Silicone BOV Recirc Hoses

It’s as flexible as any other silicone hose but I guess it depends how different the intake port is... I suspect any more than a couple of cm different and it would kink a tad? -

8 sets of black remaining. Here’s a pic of the black from Liam Lavin’s bay: After the summer they will go on eBay and will be marked up accordingly to recover my costs. -
Really neat and nicely packaged. Shame there’s not a lot of room in our engine bays, would make life a little easier! Is the PCV delete worthwhile? I’d have thought the breathing would be better with it in place?

Amazing work Brendon as ever! Some tasty parts there that I’m sure a few of us would be interested in if you wanted to make some more...

So I er kinda forgot to update this thread, but they’re done: -
I installed them, no issues. Had to prop the boot open with a long bit of 2x4, but otherwise no dramas. I think once it was all off, I attached the boot lid bracket to the strut, then the bracket to the boot lid, then popped the strut on to the D pillar. Took a little bit of force but nothing serious.

All, I have got a quote for replacement silicone hoses for the hard baked recirc hoses. For both (3-ply polyester reinforced) pipes it will be £45 or $80AUD plus postage from the UK (can probably save by posting to a single contact in Oz). Choice of blue or black. These prices only apply if I can get 20 orders. If you’re interested please PM me with contact details and colour choice (no payment needed right now) and if I can get enough interest I will place the order. Cheers, John

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?

Intercooler time: I never appreciated just how tiny the OE one was! -
I’m really hoping I can achieve close to that once it’s gone in for a few bits. Downpipe and a full service (will replace o2 at same time) and I’m hoping it’ll be less thirsty!

When he says just, it was about 5 minutes before he posted Check out M35 tuners on Facebook, there’s a good post with lots of videos and pics. Not sure how to share the link...

Not an expert by any stretch but in my view... You’d have to block the take off on the intake, and fit a mini filter on the cam cover. Shouldn’t make a huge difference. Might lean things out a tiny bit as your plenum will see some unmetered air when it’s sucking but only off boost. Question is, why would you not fit it?
-
From left to right: Resonance chamber Crankcase vent pipe BOV return pipe You really want to change the silver bit, that’s the restriction. You don’t strictly need anything but the AFM but it’s there for a reason

Everything I’ve read says they’re amazing, but only one way to find out! If I find myself with £500 burning a hole in my pocket I’ll do it. Just imagine - a wagon that handles slightly better than a wagon!
-
I may have seen that yes... [emoji12] I’ve seen the collars about before but never really taken any notice of them until watching the video. It’s such a simple but perfect idea, and a few other reviews really show the difference. Whether you’d feel it in a barge though? No idea. As an aside, that shop is just insane.

Holy thread resurrection Batman... anyone tried these yet? Quite tempted for my NM35.
