Water temp sender
powerdbygarrett replied to powerdbygarrett's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
So, I ordered a m12x1.25 to 1/8 npt adapter and the sender from the gauge does not fit in it. All these small problems make me miss my Honda! The autometer sender fits in the stock locations enough that the nut threads are still outside. What if I were to just JB Weld the bastard in place? -

Wow?! That bad huh? -
R32 Gtr ancillary hose kit? I wanted to buy Samco heater hoses but they are on back order for forever. So I purchased a autobahn88 hose kit and it comes with a million piece ancillary hose kit. Any diagrams to to know what hose goes where? It will take me a year to figure it out I think This is what I purchased: http://www.ebay.com/itm/331629538876?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Thanks

How to block PCV for catch can
powerdbygarrett replied to powerdbygarrett's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Same issue here. A store specifically for fittings ordered me three different ones. None fit in. Insane! I will cap it for now as well. Last resort is to cut of the thread part from the check valve and weld it to a bolt head -

Charcoal Canister Vacuum line? I noticed last night the top line line from my charcoal canister was not connected to anything, Might have happened when I installed my apexi intakes, might not. Did it originally run to the stock intake system? Where should it be connected ? Thanks

How to block PCV for catch can What is the best method to block the pcv port for a catch can install? I took out the check valve, went to three different hardware stores and could not find a block of fitting with the same thread. What is the thread on this thing? I will order the proper fitting online. Unless there is a better option Thanks

Koyo Radiator Questions R32 GTR
powerdbygarrett posted a topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Koyo Radiator Questions R32 GTR I received my koyo 53mm radiator, this one to be exact: http://www.rawbrokerage.com/koyo-53mm-aluminum-racing-radiator-for-nissan-skyline-gtr-r32/ Looking at it, i am slightly confused. There are three ports: 1: Small port, looks like 1/8 npt, it came with a blocking screw already in, with a ton of teflon tape, I unscrewed it to make sure it was a npt port but the sender from the autometer gauges does not fit. So whats this port for? 2: Large port, looks like it would house an adapter for a gauge sender. both adapters from the gauges do not fit. Did not come blocked off. Is this where the stock sender for the car goes? 3. That's a drain plug, I'm not that crazy. lol! Thanks in advance -
What side skirts are these?
powerdbygarrett replied to powerdbygarrett's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thanks! Anyone make any quality replicas? Or something similar? Seems like everything for these cars are worth drug monies... Probably double drug monies here in the states -
R32 Gtr Oil Filter relocation Kit
powerdbygarrett replied to powerdbygarrett's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thanks for suggesting the Mocal, Probably what I will be going with. For sure do not want something that can destroy my motor, coming from china. The eBay link did although contain something that made me curious, it listed bolt patterns, " 6, 0.875” x 12.125” Bolt Pattern; 7, Fitment: 3/4"X16UNF or M20x1.5 Thread " So basically this means I can get a brand name oil filter relocation kit from a different model car as long as it has this bolt pattern and fitment? Correct? Thanks again. -
What side skirts are these? Are these type M side skirts?

R32 Gtr Oil Filter relocation Kit
powerdbygarrett replied to powerdbygarrett's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thanks for the link. But that seems also to be a "kit". Is there somewhere I can buy just the two plates? Unfortunately "speed shops" do not really exist in the states any more. 99% is online! Horrible, I know. Thanks -
R32 Gtr Oil Filter relocation Kit
powerdbygarrett replied to powerdbygarrett's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Exactly what I would prefer to do. -AN fittings and lines is not a problem, where can I find the Piece that goes onto the block and the piece the oil filer mounts to ? -
R32 Gtr Oil Filter relocation Kit My oil pressure and temperature gauges finally came in. I want to order an oil filter relocation kit to make things easier for the install, and oil changes, It seems the only one that is available is a Greddy. Looking at it, the lines look flimsy and the fitting are not -AN, do not really like the hose clamps. Any suggestions? TIA!

Relocating Battery to trunk R32
powerdbygarrett replied to powerdbygarrett's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I wanted to make sure, if I go the drill route, I did not drill somewhere I should not have. Thanks! -
Thank you! That is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I was also planning to make an MDF board to cover everything. I have done the same in my past cars. Question, How did you secure the batteries to the trunk? Did, you drill holes through and bolt them underneath? That's something I am trying to sway from. In the states these cars still cost a ton of money. Don't really want to be drilling extra holes yet. I was thinking of having something like this welded onto my rear strut bar to secure the battery. I couple guys I know run this in their E30. What do you think?

Relocating Battery to trunk R32
powerdbygarrett posted a topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Relocating Battery to trunk R32 I have searched and could not find exactly what I am looking for. I want to relocate my battery to the trunk, but I do not want to mount the battery on one of the sides, I was hoping to mount it in the center under the rear strut tower. Can anyone point me to a write up, and/or pictures of this? Thanks! -
Ebay brand Din gauge holders? Has anyone used these ebay brand Single Din Gauge holders? Is the fitment ok? Sturdy? http://www.ebay.com/itm/PREMIUM-Universal-DIN-Gauge-Pod-52mm-2-1-16-triple-pod-radio-mount-/262474852829 http://www.ebay.com/itm/52mm-Universal-Triple-Gauge-Single-Din-Radio-Face-Pod-/121336909334 Something along these lines? Usually I would mount gauges higher around the steering column, but I do not want to drill into the dash. Anything better ideas? TIA!
