Howdy, I recently installed a bov on the skyline and now I can hear a 'sucking' noise when accelerating. Its a bit weird - it basically sounds like the car is leaking air while its trying to suck it into the engine. I got an exhaust and pod filter installed at the same time and I have to say the performance of the car has barely changed. The power delivery is smoother now, but there is no noticable change in the amount of grunt. Not the result I was hoping from from those mods. I initially though the sound was from the pod filter but its quite strange not to get any power hikes, plus its very easy to hear from inside the car. Is it possible the bov was installed incorrectly? The guy who did it was definately not a skyline specialist (long story) and I have a feeling he really didnt know what he was doing... The car isl awaiting compliance plates as well - I was under the impression that RAWS is concerned with mechanical mods - not stuff like boost guages/pedals so I wasnt really bothered about RAWS. Crap - the boost guage is right in the middle of the dash. I'm going to be busy this weekend :hellpisd: I have a strut brace at the front as well...

My R33 is getting registered soon (after 5 very long months of waiting) - I would like to know any potential gotchyas that could prevent my car from passing. Its got a couple of eye-candy mods like drilled pedals and a really stupid boost gauge setup (there is a plastic pipe running up from under the passenger dash to connect it up). Do these mods cause trouble when the car is over the pits? Anyone had trouble when registering the car and have some tips to make it go a little less painful? Cheers, Steve
