I read a write up about the 'TURBO ZET' a while back, and it basically took the piss out of them big time....to cut a long story short it went about its argument scientifically, and arrived at the following conclusion.... "So, to supply the current to drive an electric supercharger having the same airflow output as the most energy-efficient type currently available, it would take 1000 amps. To generate this much electrical power would require at least 8 heavy-duty alternators bolted to the engine. " The reaction of technical experts...."extreme mirth!" Read about it at...... RB25.....fair cop, I agree you could swap the tyres. But I think the best would be to sort the prob out once and for all ?? Each to his own....I just couldn't be stuffed rooting around every couple of months swapping tyres. My tyres were wearing out on the inner side down to bald at around 6-8 months. That would mean, after swapping, I would still only get 12-16 months out of a set of fronts...maybe a tad longer on the rear. Now I have the problem sorted, I've seen diddly squat wear on front or back....no stuffin around...no change in handling. Just my experience. cheers Ozzy

try http://www.laptop.com.au/ ....they have some pretty good deals....you can also have a look at http://www.laptops.com.au/ cheers Ozzy

I dont know about rotating for better wear. A lot of performance tyres are directional. I'd recommend the camber adjustment kit or an extension on the standard adjustment. Whether it will handle like shit or not depends if you are racing. For street, I can tell you it makes no difference to handling....how do I know?....cos I had all four of my wheels camber adjusted back in for wear reasons. Go to a reputable suspension mob for quality advice RB25 my good man!

Hey Jayson....how ya doin? I work and live over QBN way. I do get out to Tuggers pretty often...mostly to Bunnings or the Hyperdome when the MRS drags me over there to look at plants and girly stuff. It was you that sent me the CAI stuff wasn't it? Thanks for that. I often see 'Lines around and give 'em a wave and flash (of the lights)...It's a great community feeling amongst the owners. Anyway, Keep in touch. cheers Ozzy

Hey folks. Been lazy and haven't said g'day on the roll call to date......so...Hi!. I own the white 33 in my avatar. I live in Qbn and work in the ACT. I'm of the older variety of humans, and have a family which keeps me pretty busy. I'll try to get to a meet or cruise at some stage, but my life is pretty hectic and I don't often get any spare time. Anyway, I'm always out and about around Qbn and ACT so if u see me flash....your lights!. Oh, and for the keen eyed of you....I know it's not a GTR....the car came with the badges....sue me!. I am trying to get a grille to fit in the space with just a Skyline 'S', but having a little difficulty. I have also had the badge off, but it looks sh%t. Any help on the grille would be appreciated. cheers to all Ozzy

Gilty, I was also told that I would need complete new suspension, cost $2500 minimum. I then asked my mechanic and he recommended someone else who got straight to the point and said he would only need to extend the adjustment points to enable the required reel in. Cost $600.00. Get a second opinion dude!. Anyone with a camber wear problem only needs to get these adjusters extended....that's what the camber kit does. Dont let the dodgy brothers rip you off with work that is not needed. cheers Ozzy

**Good petrol news for import owners**

GT-Rmgeddon....I get it at Kingston mostly (near the Kingo)...that's the closest to home. I forgot about the one at Phillip....I have filled up there a couple of times.....anyway, in a couple of weeks closer to home eh! -
Don't laugh....you may be right...I'm not really sure. I was told that my camber (castor/toe in.....whatever you call it) problem was because of the excessive lowering. I have TEINs all round and pretty wide 17's. I get the impression that if you put back on the correct wheels and spring/shocks...the problem would be gone. I liked the height of my car, so I chose to have the problem solved whilst keeping the low stance. Mate, I don't know if raising it would help or not, but if you like it, get the adjusting points lengthened and reel in those wheels. The way I see it is 'yeah, it's ok for race cars to have horrific camber for cornering/grip, but they can afford to go through multiples of tyres, but us mere mortals can't. (Go for the fix....it'll cost you half the four tyres worth that you wont have to replace next year....best of luck) cheers Ozzy

Christian, notwithstanding the difference between GTR's and GTSt's....I had the same problem as my car was excessively lowered...the tyres wore on the inside (front and rear). I was advised to see a particular place here in Canberra by my mechs. Apparently the solution is to extend the adjusting points as the standard adjustment cannot real them back in far enough. I had mine fixed for around $600 dollars....now they be fine. Tyres are too expensive to be replacing every year!

Yeah, I'd be interested also in the Sutton Rd one. Keep us posted.

Does that mean I have GTR guards on my 33???....I'm pretty sure my front bar is a genuine factory GTR front bar. (note no holes either side of the plate) The reason I would like to know is that I want a carbon bonnet eventually, and therefore I would think that I would need a 33 GTR bonnet ???? Thoughts anyone ??

I whooped one a couple of weeks ago....I cruised up beside it to have a look and he took off...I dropped back to 3rd and planted it....did him easily!

I like the South African anti car-jacking invention that blows flames from the side of the car....thus torching the offender....wouldn't be too hard tracking down a charred dude would it.
-
I used araldite five minute to glue mine back together, and it has lasted for the last couple of months.

Yeah...u should have done a full oil change and as Igsta said, filter too. check out the following link....its got all the good oil....about oil! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ight=oil+change

Sir Bean, I don't drag...it voids my insurance. However, when my foot has slipped accidently too hard onto the accelerator I get wheel spin, but no shudder. I think that this would indicate that if I could get some decent slicks, a decent launch RPM, I reckon I would get a decent time. cheers Ozzy

I have them also, and I'll go along with what 'Boxhead' has said...they are hard, even if they are wound right up, but they are fun on a windy road...the car just sticks like sh#t to a blanket. Boxhead, if you are handy.....with your hands, PM me and I can suggest a solution to your TEIN adjustment woes. cheers Ozzy

......well, as explained before and flogged to death in the 'RICE' discussions......yes, I'm guilty, but only of only owning a car with said badges appended.....MR Wong-San, the original japanese owner put them on, not me. I would suggest that most car owners are guilty of some perceived bullshit 'RICE' infringement, but I ask you....why have you got a aftermarket quasi-GTR front bar on your car??....does it really matter???....who really cares????....I think your car looks great, I think my car looks great....who's business is it really what I have on my car or what you have on your car?? I was actually thinking of puttin four of those big orange flags that dune buggy's use on each corner of my car so people can see me coming over a hill! Finally, don't get your back up about my comments here....I could remove the badges...easy enough on the grille, but possibly I might lose some paint on the boot lid...something I'm not prepared to do...and for what ?? If people ask me....'is that a GTR'....I say, 'if you have to ask, u dont deserve to know' and leave it at that. (SSHHHH, our secret eh INASNT)

I don't know what the sideskirts are....I have not seen them in Australia anywhere....I do have to take them off to repair them, and will let u know if I find out. cheers Oz
