i originally had a liking for VL turbos and found out about RB engines (was 16-17 at the time) and found what they came out of. Finally went for a ride in sciby's and wnated one since
its called sonic silver I went for the non-vpec cause it was about 5 grand or so cheaper and quite often in japan they remove the alsd and replace it with a mechanical when they use the car for drag or circuit racing. I figured that was part of plan in the future so may as well not waste money on parts i'm just going to replace. Also Forgot to add that the series 3 gtr gearbox has the best syncros out of all the nissan skyline 5 speeds and when you go to a os giken gearset you actually need to upgrade your syncros to that of a series 3 ....
I just got the photos, was this clutch once a triple plate, because the pressure plate it has, I've only seen on Nismo triple plates. Any idea what its like to drive with being 4 puck plates?
to get the top bolt in and out easier use a really long extension a swivel joint and a rattle gun. just run the extension up along the top of the gearbox in the tunnel. You can try jacking the front of the engine a very small amount to lower the bolt a bit. DO THIS WITH CARE!!!! Otherwise you'll bend stuff, squash the stuff behind the engine bent various thing in the engine bay etc.
Yeah ws flicking over while the pace car was out Took about 15 goes to get the laptimes down to that. Do people do the laps themselves or use the B-Spec driver? Cause my driver is shit
a Completely shagged triple plate (needs rebuild) is usually around the 400-500 dollar mark. One in good condition is around $1000 mark a new one is about $2800 up
