sida102 replied to Joshington's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
not sure if you can :S looks to me like a series 1.5, same as my car. if its 95 then yeah its 1.5. -
i drove my gtst for about a year on my P's and didnt get pulled over once. This was before the restrictions tho. I might just be lucky but i have had only one random pull over and it was after i kinda let loose

Spotted this dark blue (maybe...im colour blind ) r33 gts-t at melbourne uni. Its always parked at the meter parking in front of the ICT building where i attend classes. It has a full body kit that looks very similar to the 400r kit. If anyone knows who owns this car i would like to know as i see it everyday and wouldnt mind having a chat to the owner. Cheers!

Transformers Steering Wheel...
sida102 replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
i have transformers tattoo wanna fight? i know some ppl would look at my tat and think 'what a f$*& head" but i didnt get it for them, i got it cos i like it. Oh and as for transformers stuff on cars i think its pretty horrible. The original wheel this thread is about looks like the real cheapo ones from autobarn or wherever else. here is a pic of my tat the day i got it ( had it for about a year and a half now) FLAME AWAY! -
1993 R33 Gts... (any Problems/issues?)
sida102 replied to rugbymatt07's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
ok i know i might just be a lucky mofo but at the time of writing this post i have NEVER been pulled over in my gts-t. Im 21 and come off my P's tomorrow (yay!) and ive had this car since November last year. Not a single problem yet and i run what im sure is an illegal exhaust and FMC. i guess that someone up there wants me to have fun in the black beast with no cop trouble PS i call my car the black beast for those who dont know :D:D -
thanks for the input (and speedy reply) space doesnt really metter because its one of those pen size ones. Also i tend to flog my car on the way to work cos im late (Uni + work on the same day not a good idea) so i dont really have time to let it idle with me still in the car. anyone else have a view on this? EDIT: man you guys reply fast lol

Hey all, couldnt find any discussion on these things elsewhere. On Ebay atm there is a guy in vic selling MARS brand turbo timers for $50 ($60 buy it now). Just wondering if anyone had used them before or if there was a better/cheaper alternative. If there crap ill pay for a better one but trying to save cash for better stuff (like a new front bar). LINKY thanks in advance

Skyline Suitable For 1st Car?
sida102 replied to ctchme's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I was in a similar situation when i was 18. Had enough for a non turbo (just barely) but instead i took a hand me down Daewoo nubira station wagon. Best choice i ever made, saved tons in petrol, no police trouble at all and when you fang it round a corner and the $20 hubcaps go flying off you feel like frikking champ! I drove that for almost 3 years then got a 33 gtst. Now i have enough to pay for maintenance, mods, premium unleaded etc etc... plus turbo shits all over non turbo ( except when changing the spark plugs...frikking inter cooler piping!!) My long winded point is if you chill out for a year or two you get a better car. If you save your cash and if you end up getting a similar car to what you were looking at in the first place they are fair bit cheaper a year or two later. In regards to being inexperienced, having driving experience in a shitbox behind you when you get behind the wheel of a decent car it helps alot. Get the car if you want but just consider that when the power is there its hard not to unleash it PS. i dunno if that made any sense or was relevant but meh i had fun typing it -
hi all. i know this has been posted before but i couldnt find the info that i need. My lighter is broken and i dont know the cause of the problem. First point of call was the fuse box where i realised that there was no fuse in the lighter spot (?!?!?) but there was a spare fuse so that was all good. I checked the spare fuse with a multimeter and it seems fine. This didnt fix the problem and after trying with the new fuse i checked it again to make sure it wasnt blown, it was fine. so basically it seems like its not a fuse problem but i dont know where to go from here. Any help would be great.

check out thius thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t113261.html ...i has heaps of basic info on skyline Q's plus answers your Q on HICAS. basically if you going fast (80k's and over i think) the 4 wheel steering kicks in and attempts to "help" you take corners. ive had it kick in going pretty fast and its a real pain in the ass, basically changes your handling mid turn which can screw you up pretty good. but yeah check out that thread as there is a big section on HICAS.

thanks for the tip its kinda cracked anyways so i might get a new one in the near future anyways, i guess maybe the 400r to match. is the Just jap price of $550 ok for the 400R front bar?

Im no photographer but I took a few quick snaps today. The sun was nice enough to come out for some nice lighting. The cars done 155,000 km and has hardly any mods, just a new pod filter and a front mount intercooler aswell as an Apexi AVR-R boost controller. I have to put the intercooler back on as it didnt pass roadworthy so the stock is on atm. EDIT : Oh its also got some nice 18" rims, side skits and an after market front bar. pics

Hello all, I recently became a proud skyline owner and just wanted to say thank you to all the people who input into this site. The information on what to look for when buying, fuel economy etc. was a goldmine for me. Without all your posts i probably would have ended up with a lemon. Cheers all! ps i ended up with a 95 r33 gtst manny for $11,200...might post some pics at a later stage

just a few pics of my first skyline. Snapped it up for the fine price of $11,200.
