Hey guys/gals, Its seems that my R32 gtst auto doesnt seem to be running rich. the way i have come to this conclusion is that everytime i hit the gass hard, there is not one bit of black smoke that comes out of the exhaust. Do the same thing to every other standard computer turbo OR non turbo skyline and one will see some amount of black smoke which points to unburnt fuel. NOW..is the my car actuali running lean, as i cannot hear it ping when it on boost. Fuel pump fuel filter has being changed (funning r33 gtst fuel pump) and its stock except cat back exhaust and air pod. Can anyone tell me why my car is behaving like this? could the stock computer have being that smart and leaned out my fuel mixtures enuff yet ensure i aint pinging yet? surely not!

check O2 sensor (when it worn out, computer automatically will go into running rich mode.), other problems could be injectors needing a clean and clogged fuel filter. do a search lots of info in these forums in getting a o2 sensor and how to change them etc.

heys i noe www.shockreco.com.au can recondition coilovers and the alike, but i was wandering if there was a company here in perth that can. im contemplating buying coilovers that jus need to be regassed, so would like to weigh up my options. cheers matt

Hi as the topic says i am after a standard fuel pump off a R33 preferably or R32. It must be off a car that hasnt being boosted excessively, and in good working order please willing to pay upto 50. thanks

holy shit that was news... seriously, wat is their definition of news these days...a cat dying? far out, its all a bunch of bs. used to be who believes the weather man, now its who believes news readers and their crap. 99% propaganda, 1% factual.

this is normal, as long as your revs dont drop excessively, this slight misfires, occurs in nearly all 6 cyclinder engines.it is cause by the "uneven" firing sequence of each of the cyclinders, because not all cyclinders are going up and down at the same time. (basically 2 cyclinders are at the "top", 2 at the "bottom" of the cycle, and the other 2 in the "middle" of the combustions cycle. sorry for crude explaination, maybe someone can explain it better. and because you have a larger diameter exhaust, this slight mis fire sputter noise just got "amplified" thru a louder exhaust, on a stock exhaust you cant hear it.

haha even nissan believed in "rice", was surprised to find my R32 with this option, seems to be quite a popular one, however you can feel that there is more stability at freeway speeds, compared to stock r32 without one.
