  4. Take a look at the following thread, Wheel sizes and offsets for Skylines in Suspension, Braking and tyres.
  5. No it won't, read my PM to you, and GTSBoy is quite right a manual ECU is not built to communicate with an auto trans because at the lowest level of thinking THAT WOULD BE STUPID
  6. He's shopping for the answers he wants to hear, not the answers he was given
  7. I have PM'ed him to find out whether his old N/A ECU was a JECS then advised him to talk to Nistune as to possibilities.
  8. This was good advice, I PM'ed the young fella the complete R34 workshop manual and gave him the same advice, he PM'ed me back that he had no idea what he was looking for. So I PM'ed him all the pin numbers he should look at, but the eureka lights still did not come on! Perhaps he could get some advice from Nistune on whether his original N/A ECU could be tuned, the VCT timing exists and could be changed, the boost control could be added using the variable inlet pinout. But would have to figure out fuel pump output for turbo. Obviously the ECU would need to be JECS and not Hitachi
  9. With due respect, this is simply wrong. My experience from this conversion, the trans went into limp mode and was stuck in third all other gears except reverse were unavailable.
  10. Only the exhaust cam is different
  11. Absolutely ,definitely need some additional sensor wiring
  12. Steady on Ben, don't kick a bloke when he's down. He came here for help and probably has limited funds.
  13. I will PM you some diagrams, you will probably have too change some pin connectors around
  14. Mate, you can't trust anyone selling a car to be truthful. There is a part number on the side of the ECU post it up and I will tell you what it is,
  15. I"m amazed it started, the plug fits obviously but the pinouts are different. Do you have both de and det R34 wiring diagrams ??
  16. You need to confirm what GTSboy has asked before we can help you. For example Idle up is altered by a power steering pressure switch Is this connected??? Does the switch work?? Is the AAC signal wire connected to ECU Does the switch work ???
  17. No she'e my missus otherwise known as "She who must be obeyed"
  18. Mine doesn't do that, but experience of oil leaks is they get larger never smaller. If its bugging you fix it.
  19. I have sent you a copy of the R34 workshop manual all the info you need is in there, it has plenty of handy illustrations, hope that helps.
  20. Also to remove the shim just use a drill bit of the appropriate size reversed and gently rock the shim until it releases, its only the oil causing a small suction that holds it on.
  21. Yes Yes and Yes.Follow this advice and then contact Precision Shims Australia for great prices and great service (fast postage)they can even supply spring seats if you need them. Highly recommended.
  22. Then ignore it and refuse to fix it.
  23. Its rust mate, unless you have been driving on loose diamonds.
  24. Thanks Christian, I was just a cog in the wheel, Nori and Yoshi were awesome blokes and it was our efforts in the 1970's that led Subaru to create the factory Rally team that was so successful with the Legacy GT from 1980. The 1977 car was a Subaru GSR which was built at Ryde for the Southern Cross, I was told to head over to the car storage area and pick a "Good one in white paint, bring it to the workshop and disassemble it" We seam welded the strut towers and rear shock mounting area's,fitted roll bars, reassembled with Mag wheels. Then took it to Manly Repair Centre and used their Dyno to squeeze every drop of power out of the engine. The good ol' days.
