This is a consult port This is a consult cable Buy a cable and you don't need hope, you don't need to remove the piston through the sump, just plug it in and start diagnosis like a real human.
-
Yes, its a RB20det ECU out of a HCR32 (R32 GTST)
-

Cruise Control sending car into Limp Mode
Rusty Nuts replied to Gavel's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
His cruise control is working so fuse is intact, the installation is interfering with inputs to his ECU or TCU hence why diagnostics should start with consult, then you have a starting point and NOT a guessing point -

Have it checked for fault codes, not all fault codes will throw a MIL. -
My mate called me round to look at his N/A stagea it started blowing white smoke. He swears it didn't overheat. It has the Y shaped intake runners which stretch right over both valve covers, I removed this to make it easier to remove the igniters and plugs for a compression test. When the throttle body and runners were removed there was a large amount of coolant in the plenum. Dried this off and conducted compression test all cylinders were good. The engine idles fine and drives fine, I'm thinking IAC valve coolant chamber failure or throttle body coolant pipe failure. ANYONE come across either of these failing before. Intelligent suggestions would be much appreciated (and yes I can bypass them) i'm looking for past experiences. Thanks in advance.

As long as the ECU and TCU are for a RE4R03A then you will need a speedo drive of the correct ratio to match your Diff the correct wiring loom and probably a dropping resister. Hopefully the Throttle position sensor for the CVT will be the same. If not one of those too.
-
No, the TCU's are matched to car and ECU and box, been down this road. But hey you don't need to believe me, just keep asking the same question a different way and somebody will give you the answer you want to hear.
-
No unfortunately not, there is a seperate TCU (transmission control unit) required for the Jatco RE4R03A and the TCU HAS to match the ECU. A Gloria set would of course work.
-
If its a VG30 you could convert to a RE4R03A out of a 300ZX, big job and would probably need ZX ECU and matching TCU. You will need a big pair of hairy nuts and staying power.
