Have a read of this guide mate, http://my.prostreetonline.com/2014/11/03/how-to-change-your-rb25-headgasket/ its for a turbo but whats not needed is obvious, Keep your head up mate, we all pulled one down for the first time and made little errors. -

Suggest you take the exhaust and inlet manifolds off first as well. It can get exciting fast if you don't. -

DO NOT remove these, they are plugs that go into the water gallery, all head bolts are under the valve covers. there are three ten mm bolts on the corners of the head, two at the rear and one at front intake side. -

R33 and R34 vct blocks are 75T . I read somewhere, can't remember where, so don't lay money on it, that R32 RB25n/a blocks had 08U marking. -

RB20Det head marking 73L RB20de head marking 72L above number 2 exhaust port. -

I have built many engines in my lifetime, never used a torque plate when gapping rings, never had a failure. I'm careful but that sounds over the top. -

Don't bother looking for a revolution sensor our Jatco's only have speedo output. -

I gave up on the RE4R01A and now run a full manual reverse pattern RE4R03A good for 600hp -
Just checked the block I have on the stand and its M12 x 1.25, so disregard previous. M12 to AN 4 heaps on ebay or Raceworks make them.

It fitted the brass adapter block already on the engine.

Try pm'ing member on this forum called bubba. He modded his own valve body to shift faster he knows his way around a Jatco. -

yes its on the valve body and from memory is bolted too or is a part of one of the solenoids. I was reluctant to reply because I have only seen it once a long while ago. -

Good advice from 'The Max' remember your vin number is your cars birth certificate. But I am sure what it is, this is the R34 version, it has a white centre so mine goes faster HaHa. -

Hope you have a shed load of modifications to suit that MEC R280 Mines ECU
