A good painter will blend it on the bumper and wont need to do the bonnet and guards. Base coat to cover the repaired area and flick it out on the rounded parts of the bumper. Thats the way I've done 1000s of them

My thoughts are if you have all you paper work taken care of they cant pick on anything.
Also Matrins car is in very good condition just the mods can be picked on if they decide to do a emissions test.

Yes to stop them seeing it but now you will have to go over everything that has been added.
Side note I've always run stock lights in my cars to avoid the unwanted attention.
