Ok, I didn't explain this well. Initally when I bought the gauges, Steve din't have the money to pay me back. I accepted this (having been a student myself) and took the wheel insted of cash. When I found out it was shonky, he offered me these "fresh machined" cams at a discounted price, at the time it seemed a good idea - and again I felt sorry for him being a poor student with no money to pay me back. I'm prepared to admit thats a bit stupid, however I was just trying to do the right thing by someone whos story I beleived. Anyhow, I know there was an issue, however Steve told me the V spec cams were different to the standard ones, and these were fresh.... which clearly they are not. I waited to give him time to fix this issue, and now after speaking to admin this post was the next step.

Hey VIC SAU'ers.. Since August last year, I've had some dramas with Memph.... aka Steve. I bought an oil pressure gauge, water temp gauge from Memph (Steve), and both didn't work. He REFUSED to return my money, saying he didn't have any to give me. Steve sent me a steering wheel in exchange as he couldn’t afford to give my money back (and I felt for him and his story). The steering wheel, although in its box was too poor to put in my car, scratched and looking shabby (not as described at all - he said it was like new). So, again, feeling bad for Steve I didn't insist on my money back. I bought some R33 GTR "V spec" (although now I don't think they are even v spec ones, just stockers) cams off Steve, and they were not fresh machined as stated. He says they were, but the rust speaks for itself. I have now been told they don’t work- although there is enough grey area as I knew the issue prior to purchase. That said, they were not fresh from a machine shop as described. Steve then stated I should have done more research. Admin is well aware of this issue. When I talked to Steve about this, initially he was helpful but ignored me once I wanted anything back. He is happy for me just to leave it as is. I told him I would give everything back to him - then I got a PM with him keen to meet up. So, anyone else had any drama's with this guy? I'm down $450 bucks and have a bunch of usless crap. I'm not happy, and Steve sure isn't helping.

Hey guys, Getting a bit desperate to sell. If anyone knows anyone looking for a GTS-T, send them my way. I'm ready to sell (its been ages) and am open to lower offers. If its an SAU member, or a friend of a member let me know and I'll look after you. -
Sorry to hear mate, that truly sucks. Nothing worse than loosing all that money, and the fact your pride and joy has been touched - and damaged.

I'm in the same position, and have been watching the prices drop with dread. You can get R32's for like 9990, and 33's for under 12000 now That just drags the prices of the good ones down, other issue is you can pick up GTR's for well under 20000 now... End of the day, I always think the more money you can put into a house initally the more you save in the end.

Hey guys, I URGENTLY need a set of GTR injectors, like today or tommorow. I have a guy in Canberra who will pick tthem up ASAP, so if you have a set you can sell, loan or steal for me - I'll be forever greatful. I have a GTR in the workshop that needs to be going yesterday - the owner needs it for work, and the injectors have been knocked off.

The New And Improved Gt4 Nurburgring Lap Times Thread
oscar32 replied to Topaz's topic in PC & Games Discussion
*edit, typo* I did the ring in 5:45 something in the R32 GTR Calsonic... Fully worked with nos and a long 5th. No spins, and a generally good clean run. I had holidays for 4 weeks -
Mine does this too, it not sieze, its got to do with the way the mangement system controls the power on idle - after I put the wolf in it just went away but I know what you are talking about. Increasing the idle revs helps too.

Ok tech people. I've bought some second hand Vspec Cams for an RB26DETT from here, and have been told by my workshop they are stuffed. The little half moon inside the end of the cam has broken off (partly) The way my mechanic explained it is that the gears themselves won't hold the cam as there is too much of the gear missing from inside. The guy I bought them from told me it was broken, but also told me they are still usable and explained this: i had explained to you before you bought the cams that the half moon inside the end of the intake cam had snapped off. THIS DOES NOT MAKE THE CAMS UNUSABLE! It simply means that you need to align the CAS and the end of the cam up by eye. you can see where the half moon has snapped off in the cam. look into the CAS to see which way it is supposed to go, rotate the shaft that comes out of the cas so that it is the correct way. and there you go. I'll get some pics up. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?? Any advice would be great as I'm sitting around with a car off the road and two different stories

Where to get Skyline Serviced
oscar32 replied to r33skylinegtst's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Don't ever take your car to Evo. I was ripped off by them to the tune of thousands. They'll flog your car, and not complete the work you ask for, and I wouldn't even trust them for a service. Just my 2c. -
Na, shame is driving something like a dihatsu, kia or anything with less than 4 cylinders. Wine Red 32 GTS-Ts, beaten, broken or bogged are ALWAYS class. (and you all thought I'd bag the ol 33 didn't ya?)

This is a seriously nice car guys!
