Mate, Elle is great and will always be that way - just like the 32, Sophie will however age soon enough.... Leech, I'm not scared of lining anything up, 33 or otherwise - so bring it on No turbo skyline is a "slow car". A slow car might look like the Mira. So your car should be "acceptably fast" or "very sporty" never ever "slow" and "A to B trasport". If you want A to B buy a Camry. Also, for the record, there is no such thing as a "bad" skyline, they are either good, or better. ARM85's 33 tought me how a simple bodykit can transform a whale into hotness. If you guys havn't seen it yet you'll undertstand when you do. Its a pretty happy moment. What about GTR's???? What would be your pick, an R33 or R32..... I could maybe see a nice Purple R33 SIII GTR V-Spec in my driveway - maybe...

Yeah, sorry but I feel the same way, after the way I was lied to by that shop I couldn't take my car there. After I rang Chris to talk about the "work" they had done, I was treatly rudly and it took me turning up at EVO (with some mates) to even get the parts I paid for. I was truley ripped off in every sense, and I'd hate for any of you guys to feel the way I did. Nothing worse han saving forever then finding out you blew it all (plus some). 12 months on I'm still re-saving that money. no offence to Ben, but that workshop reamed me.

13.4 is a pretty good time on a stocker turbo! I'd be happy with that. If the cars were fully Stocker versus stocker I'd back the R32 though. I havn't seen Tridents beast since all those juicy parts when in, I imagine that it'd go just fine... MMMM Mira goodness. Oh yeah, 3 cylinder 650cc love baby Love it, 155 tyres, sexy faded paint, clutch squeals in each gear. Frink!! Only really nasty, cheap old recycled juice comes in 2.5 litres, so there!!!! Once mods come in, I'll back the car with the most money spent , or spent clever. Mods kinda change the whole thing. Besdies, is going fast the only part of the car being "better". For looks, the 32 is classic, elegant, well thought out. The R33 looks like it needs a diet and some refining - say refinment all the way to a 34... No one is arguing that a bit of capcity is a good thing, that said - boost is more important MMMMM Tomei 2.4 stroker mmmmm. 2.8 hks..... *more tissues for me*

I'm an idiot. Its a Apexi SAFC-II he got for under $300

Bluprint, Its a secret I need more power. Anyhow, as we all know R32's are lighter, more nimble, and certainly faster than the fat old 33. Mind you, the 33's extra tourque and comfort make up for....... well nothing really. The r32 may be cheaper than the 33, and feels like twice the bargan. Amazing! Anyhow who wants to argue the point is more than welcome to line me up Besides, we are all just sad we don't have R34 GTR VSpec II's sitting around in bayside blue. Maybe with a HKS 2.8 in it..... *goes to find a tissue*

Want To Build An Rb30det On The Cheap?
oscar32 replied to oscar32's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
And photos are on thier way. -
Yeah, I don't get to see other liners much, other than the very weak ARM85 who's too scared to even take his line to the nats (its soft, like a whale )
-
32 all the way. Well, soon to be R31 goodness, but yeah, r32 all the way.

***ENGINE NOW SOLD, PLEASE SEE LAST POST RE: WHATS LEFT*** I've got all the bits from an RB25 DE front cut (plus some other bits). I was going to build a RB30det, but my new project says no Its pretty much all the bits you need, bar a turbo, some machine work and assembly is required of course. Cubes wrote a great how to on this motor I'm chasing around $1300 for all the below parts, if you'd like to make an offer, PM me and we will see how it goes. This includes delivery to Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra via a trailer to your door. The front cut was worth around $2000, plus there is 3 years worth of R32 modification leftovers. The obvious RB25 DE head (still attached to the rest of the motor). In good condition, and from a healthy motor that still would run (if it was in a car). Oh, and for the record the obvious RB30 block IS included. I've got two if you'd like them both. You could build a V12 by strapping them together! awesome. I'd really rather sell the whole lot - I have run out of room in my garage, and I don't need any of this stuff I imagine you don't need it all either, but it could be sold for profit. . If you really just want the head or bottom end, or both pm me and we will talk. Below is a list of all the other parts you'll get. Car showed 88XXX kms, which was about right I'd say. Auto GTS Dash in great condition A/C "radiator" (I think its called a condensor - the thing that sits at the front) A/C compressor, lines and all that stuff (no gas of course) Heater box from behind the dash Ashtry (with woodgrain for some reason) RB 25DE bottom end, in great conditon RB25DE Computer . Auto gearbox computer - Coil packs x 6. Checked them over and they look ok, no cracks or anything.. Suits RB20DE, RB20DET, RB26DETT and S1 R33 GTS-T and RB25de of course (also your new RB30) Full R33 2 door dash with vents (no cracks, looks fine) Glovebox Surround for cluster Kick panels (both sides) Steering arms from both sides (with stock suspension in good nik - no leaks) they are 4 stud though) Steering Rack ABS module Induction pipes/air box (whole thing) (suits turbo car or NA) WITH AFM Radiator in A1 condition (no bent fins - same as a turbo one) All plastics from around the front of a 33 (wheel arches and splash gaurds and stuff) Brake lines (all of the metal ones) Auto gearbox fom the above car, Gearbox is in good condition with around 88000 kms on it. Its the same model as a turbo one, so if you struggle with your left foot, it'll be right up your alley. Apparently its a 5 speed too, I'm not sure but thats what I was told when I bought it. Either way it appears in good nik. Also have a VL N/A head, enjoy that as your new boat anchor!!! Any questions you can PM or mail me. Cheers!!!

Is this group buy still going???
-
I would try to correct it too! That said, its drifting and things like looses that happen to the best drivers.
-
Ok, if Ben is ok thats great, let not forget I was ripped off by Evo to the tune of $4000.... plus my car was drifted. I'll never ever back off bagging that place after what they did to my car, and if I even see that salesman crossing the road I won't break. But, if Ben knows his stuff and can charge his own prices just working from the building, thats cool. If he is involved with Evo though, I'm sorry but that workshop burnt me too hard.

What about the great GTS-T huh huh???
-
Don't take your car to Evo, they will overcharge and underwork.

R32 Tail-lights, New Led Lights Available
oscar32 replied to Veilside R33's topic in Australian Capital Territory
I went to that page expecting to see some nice, R34 style LEDs, insted there is rice. The only ones I'd slightly use are the red ones, and even then I'd have to get ready to eat a big ol plate of rice. -
Wow, So, the summernats usual news article was replaced by a mis-hap that occured. What a knee jerk reaction, I'm sure there was heaps of great things at the nats that have not been on the news. Motorsport, cars and their associated activities are dangerous, if you don't like that fact don't leave home. Honstly, its that simple. No matter what types of fencing they put up, however far away the people are there is still a chance that people will get hurt when cars are doing their thing. I agree, now looking back a larger barrier would have been a great idea, but given the number of years the nats have been running without one - would you have included them? the driver has other pressures on him too. CAPA would have wanted him to put on a good show so people remember the brand, the nats want a good show and so does the crowd. I don't think he was going near 140 when it happend, and within reson honestly it appeared he was doing the right thing.

that was me

Spotted djhatton near fyshwick yesterday while on my way home from the nats

I have a freind who runs a VG 30, its awesome response, and has full boost by around 3500, it ramps hard from 2800 though. Awesome street car, and not laggy compared to the larger options. He just runs a AVC-R.

Where to get Skyline Serviced
oscar32 replied to r33skylinegtst's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Just feel I should mention my $4000 "learning excircise" Evo themselves put me through. I will never ever receomend that workshop to anyone. Anyhow, if anyone needs a WOLF3d tune, HP Race Engine here were involved in the development of the version 4+. I know lots of people "bag" the old Wolf, however I'm very happy with the power, tourque and adjustability. -
Hey all, I've been missing a bit lately, but merry xmas you guys! I'll be back from Wagga next year for a cruise or two, and will be up there at the nats with HP race engines

Pics are comming, the wedding people are slow apparently
-
Yes, 16psi is silly, I blew my original (at the track mind you) at 13ish psi. that said, I guess it depends on heaps of other factors. I run 18ish now, but with a different turbo

Hey all, Just wanted to thank Jayce and Erika for comming out 2 weekends ago for my friends wedding. The GTR, bling forrester and my old mans WRX looked great for the photos, and they didn't even complain when it rained on their pride and joys!!! They did this at short notice, and with no hassels They totally saved my bacon and I owe them both. So,

If you are interested, I've got a pair of RB20 turbos sitting here. One is in good condition, and to my knowledge has not been over boosted, and would be fine to use - the other is totally thrashed (like 12 psi thrashed) $150 and the good one is yours
