Agreed camma, I'm only here because all my cars until I was 20 were bombs.
When you are at uni and school and stuff, having a bomber is awesome, I had an 81 corona (raw power) that I didn't care about too much. I drove it through bushland, like a 4wd and learnt heaps. I'd hate to think what I'd have done to myself with my current car back then...
That said, I have to commend anyone who can own a skyline at age 17, shows a lot of commitment from you I guess you have to look at the application you are going to use your car for. If you drive around heaps, and park in bodgy areas all the time skylines are generally bad. I've got a mate who had to park in a public carpark in Sydney (northshore) for work, and only took a month before it was gone.
It sucks, but the world is getting more and more like that.
As for the comments, don't worry about it. I ride a bike as well, and can tell you that gets more negative comments than the car any day
