What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
NicPM35 replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Installed the RS-R lowered springs from eBay, plus some new 20x8 Vertini rims which fit properly without dodgy spacers. I won't admit how much time it took me to swap the front springs, but in my defence I had about 1ft on either side of my garage to work with. Pretty happy with the outcome! -

Just picked up these Rohana RC10 wheels. 20x9 and 20x10 with about 43 offset I think. Ended up needing 5mm spacers on the front because the offset wasn't quite right, so chasing up some longer studs now I think. Not much thread left with the spacer and the wheel. Both ends sit out of the guards about 3mm, so should look perfect when I get some lower spings. (anyone got spare lowered springs??) -
Just triple checking that an ARX or nm35 lsd will bolt right up to my rwd pm35 no problems? Looking to scrap the open diff and found both an arx and nm35 lsd I can get my hands on

Not a lot, only looking second hand. Currently got the stock 17x7 rims which are nice, but they just don't fill out the guards and look too narrow from behind especially on the rear. I would consider getting slightly lower springs, which might help the look too

Looking at getting a set of 18x9+25 and 18x9.5+25 for my pm35. Currently with stock ride height. Does anyone know if that offset it ok, would they poke out of the guards front or back at stock height?

Say someone was to install test pipes (yes I know they are a no-no on the roads), would they throw the ECL? A couple people on 350z forums say they get the ECL and some don't. Will the O2 sensors go out of whack and make the car run lean without a re-tune?

Managed to score a Fujitsubo Legalis R catback from a wrecker on the cheap and put it on my PM35 this morning.... IT IS LOUD! I knew it was designed for a turbo engine, but damn it is loud on the NA engine. Will have to add a large resonator me thinks... At least for now I can hoon around sounding like a monster truck. Might upload a vid to youtube because there isn't much audio out there of this setup, or any at all. -
2005 pm35 lower ball joints help!
NicPM35 replied to NicPM35's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Well after 4 visits to 3 different mechanics, I have finally got some new ball joints installed in my 2005 PM35! Finding the correct shim that will fit the new 14mm (350z/v35/m35) ball joints was an absolute nightmare. The lower control arm on the RWD models are slightly different to the AWD ones, in that where the top of the ball joint sits in to the arm, there is actually too meat for the bolt to come through. (does that make sense?) The AWD 14mm size ball joints are the same height as the 16mm RWD ball joints, but it's the lower control arms which have different height thicknesses. So the 14mm bolt which fits in to an AWD control arm actually was too short for the RWD control arm, because the way the 16mm bolt and shim sit together actually ends up sitting through the control arm more proud. End result: could not find a replacement 16mm ball joint anywhere in the world, so we used (BY ACCIDENT) the 14mm ball joint and the 16mm shim from the original ball joints and it somehow by a miracle fits. The way the smaller joint sits with the larger shim doesn't seem to be a problem. It is sitting further down on the joint but is still maintaining a solid connection. -
NM35 Stagea lower control arms & ball joints+spindles For sale is a set of AWD lower control arms with new Superpro bushes, and full spindles with new ball joints installed. Selling because I mistook them as RWD parts, but they are sadly not. (Don't get me started on my ball joint replacement story!!!) Asking $400 all up, for new bushes and ball joints already pressed in for easy installation. Saves you a lot in labour already! Located 2203.

Is there another Nissan forum focused more towards Stageas that I should have a look at? Seem to be getting no help from anyone here...

I just bought an M35 lower control arm with new bushings to replace my current lower control arm on my PM35. According to Nissan EPC-Data, the M35 and PM35 axel parts are all supposedly exactly the same model numbers. However, attached is the arm I bought and next to that that is the one that I have. (Note the spot where the sway bar link connects to) Is there a reason they are different? Does the one I bought use different sway bar end links? I'm guessing it's from the AWD model

2005 pm35 lower ball joints help!
NicPM35 replied to NicPM35's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Sorry just realised I'm kinda posting in 2 different threads about this. Just got off the phone with kudos motorsports and was told that you need to reuse the top shim from the original ball joint. I bought some new shims from justjap and they seem to be way too big (16mm tapered to 20mm). Anyone experienced this problem with buying new shims? -
WTB Lower ball joints - PM35
NicPM35 replied to NicPM35's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Not sure where everyone is getting these magic working ball joints from, but after 2 failed attempts with different ball joints (the 1st being M35 'Febest' brand, the 2nd being eBay 350z z33 joints), I have resorted to buying the whole spindle/joint from Amayama. Roughly $350 shipped to Sydney hopefully. No one in Australia seems to sell genuine nissan joints or even aftermarket joints that will fit a PM35 stagea. Ah the joys of owning NOT a commodore... -
WTB coilovers for m35/pm35 Show me what you got! Prefer to go second hand over brand new, if in good condition. Not after a slammed ride, just something to help make it a bit more race car. Located in Sydney

confirmed, current joints in car have a 16mm bolt on the top receiver and the M35 ones and the 350z ball joints from ebay both have 14mm bolts. Not sure why my car is unique... HAS ANYONE ON THIS FORUM EVER CHANGED THEIR BALL JOINTS?
