  5. I was told by a few places that it puts added stress on the turbo shaft as the wheels try going different ways as the pressure comes back thru the compressor cover. I also tried the same twin turbo setup on a 25/30 and had the same result just with the choofing noises at lower revs Maybe a question for the tuners.... Would it make much of a difference changing the cam timing to clear up the surge...?

  7. My RB25 did exactly this same thing when it had the twin turbo setup. It was due to the turbos forcing more air than the engine could take at low rpm so the air choofed back thru the filters. At top end this problem was gone and made good power. (399rwkw @ 17psi) I changed from the twins to a T51r and the problem was gone. I was told it will damage the turbos as the exhaust wheel turning one way and the extra air trying to turn inlet wheel the opposite....
  8. I would love 1500hp. Whats the cost for one of your DiRTy30 bottom ends...? Im looking at the options for fixing my engine. All the top end is fine so just need to fix bottom end. It has bent the crank and I have been told the pistons and rods are fine. I would also be looking at grout filling part of the block and maybe some type of girdle. Engine made 475rwkw @ 24psi @ 8200.

  11. I love the auto. Best thing I ever did to the car. Would be nice to change the diff gears from 4.1 to 3.7 to drop the revs on the highway. I went to the drags here last weekend and was inspired to fix it for the 33 just to blow away the dirty V8s. lol
  12. Greg did up the 26 head also. Its had a little port work, oversize valves and everything needed for the 280 cams. Its a bit of a pain having to freight things to the big island from Tassie to have quality work done. But the way I see it, guys have been building these engines on the mainland for years so best to deal with someone thats done the job before. I spoke to a workshop here when I first started thinking about the 3lt idea and they said why would I want a single cam engine.... lol Not knowing that a twin cam head could be fitted. lol Its like we are 10 years behind. hahahaha
  13. I want this engine and auto combo. Mad as. What is the costs involved in having the auto built...? Ive been thinking about putting my engine in a awd stagea with tough auto. Just for something different
  14. Yeah wont be dealing with him again but will be taking the bill to fix the engine to him. The engine was built by Pro Engines and seems to be the goods but would have been nice to get it to the track. I have recently picked up the car and all parts after being pulled down and assessed for damages. So now i have to choose if I fix it as a 3lt of wait for the spool 3.4 kit. And once the engine is all fixed up do I put it back in the 33 and run the 10 I was always after or put it in a 260rs stagea.... As for driving it, it has done less than 50ks on the street with a run in tune and was great to steer. So take off in 1st get it on boost, pull 2nd = wheelspin, pull top and more wheelspin. lol That was with about 300rwkw running 10psi and 6000rpm
  15. Bent the crank and had bearing metal go all thru the engine.... as the oil cooler relocation kit was hooked up wrong.. Like they always say if you want something done right better do it yourself.

  22. runs to4z at 30 psi and makes 708rwhp
  23. My 100hp shot is run thru Haltech and comes on at 4000rpm WOT and turns off at 17psi. I only have it to help get the turbo onto boost. But have never used it. Was only tested on the dyno.
