What can the 26 head make power wise before upgrading cams and springs?? Is it worth putting it on stock or put new parts in and go harder??

Thinking about pulling the 25 head off and fitting a 26.

What thickness head gasket should I use??? Would like to keep the same comp ratio 8.3. Are the chambers in the 26 head much bigger than the 25???

Didnt think of that. Was running 8.3 comp with the 25 head. Not sure of the thickness of the headgasket tho. Will have to find out

The 25 head was drilled to run GTR head studs 12mm i think. Yeah was thinking I would need the 26 headgasket. So everything else will swap over and work??? Ignition and splitfire coils...?

Im running 1000cc top feed injectors and Haltech E11. Haltech runs a patch loom into the R33 gts-t loom

Im looking to change from my 25 head to a 26. What will need to be changed in the wiring or will everything swap over??? If I go with the 26 I will have a Greddy plenum with 85mm throttlebody and custom fuel rail for sale and a 6boost manifold to suit T51r

Ignition is... "M&W pro Drag 6 - which consists of 3 banks of two upgraded Mercury coils and two ignitor packs and use magnecore resistor leads" Cause I already asked :-) Wasnt sure if he was going to keep posting here about it.

Who did the head setup for you??? Cams and port work??? Would you seperate the head??

I have been talking to Greg (proengines) i think, on here and he is doing some work with fitting the 26 cams to the 25 head. As im looking to do the same with my 25/30 I have Tomei 256 inlet and 264 exhaust cams but want bigger so 26 cams are the plan

Ive just finished my 25/30 and had it on the rollers. Currently it has Tomei 256 cams, Tomei springs and a ported head. The head was off my old RB25 that burnt a piston. After its run on the dyno with 20psi to 8000rpm (first big rev) It has started to rattle in the top end (to much clearance) My tuner has said to change to a solid lifter setup and some bigger cams. How big is to big??? Am thinking about Tomei Procams 270 10.25 Who is running a solid lifter setup and what brands are best to use? This is how it went.
