  3. I found a 25 head today. so now just need to get it cleaned up and then wait for the bottom end and auto to arrive. Not long now
  4. Just add a huge shot of nos. I want a 10sec car too but mine has cost me 25K plus and my engine and auto still arent in the car yet and still needs to be tuned.
  5. Seems your getting there now. What valves and springs did you use? My little 25 finally died after a year of abuse at 400kw. It had tomei cams and tomei pistons. The rest was totally stock other than all the bolt on parts. It burnt the side of the piston in number 6 and pinched the ring. The bore is still like brand new. I have also ordered a C4 from Fred. Cant wait to get that in behind my new engine.

  10. I have had a jim berry clutch in my 33 for a few years. My car has made 399rwkw and have never has this thing slip. When the clutch was built it was 3800lb clamp force and rated at 380kw. From a standing start i could drop the clutch at 8000rpm in 3rd gear and turn the tyres in to clouds of smoke. The main thing I was told was to use graphite powder on the gearbox spline and i always took my foot off the clutch when stopped at traffic lights. If I was staying with a manual i would certainly buy another suited for my new power level

  15. What type of flexplate are people using that have 400+rwkw? Im getting a C4 built to go behind a 25/30 and am just looking at what options i have. Any info would be great. Cheers, Rob
  16. I am running 2 X 044 pumps from my (est. 4L) surge tank each with their own 3/8 fuel line to a custom twin feed rail and 1000cc injectors. My RB25 made 399rwkw @ 17psi using twin T3/T4 turbos. I went big first time so i dont have to worry about upgrading the fuel system in the future.

  18. Am running twin T3/T4 turbos and 17psi. My engine was totally stock except for Tomei cams and pistons. Made 300rwkw with a TD06-20G for over 3 years reving to 8200. I went with the twins as i wanted more power. I didnt know what was done to the engine when I bought the car so just kept on adding parts and the power kept on going up.
  19. detonantion was the problem. It has burnt the side of the piston and pinched the ring. When it was compression tested all other cylinders were around 130 number 6 was 60 but went upto 100 with a squirt of oil down the plug hole. I am having a RB30 bottom end built up so this will be fixed up and sold. Thats if I can find another piston. If not will be scraped.
  20. I recently did a compression test on my 25 and number 6 was low. I have pulled the engine down and it has Tomei cams and Tomei forged pistons. The rest of the engine internally was totally stock. The engine made 399rwkw on 17psi and had redline at 8200 using twin T3/T4 turbos, Greddy plenum, 1000cc injectors, splitfire coils, and Haltech E11v2 blah blah blah. Everything else is like brand new except for number 6 piston. Even the bore is fine. I will have to measure up the piston but is there anywhere I can buy just 1 Tomei piston just to fix it up. I am currently getting a 3lt bottom end built so just want to fix the 25 to throw in something later down the track. Cheers
  21. Im just in the middle of a 25/30 build up. What size or brand head bolts would be better? My old rb25 had twin T3/T4 and all the other goodies and made 399rwkw @ 17psi. Now everything will be used on a built up 3lt bottom end. Cheers

  24. I think its more like that it was a girl driving the car. My gf drove around in mine when it had a 4inch sidepipe and even stopped next to a cop car at traffic lights. They just looked and went on there way. I was driveing also nice and easy with the full exhaust fitted back on and got done for undue noise. Its all about cleavage ( . Y . )
