  1. I bought a Ryco one for mine. From memory i think the book said both the Z200 & Z201 suit the R33, but i bought the Z200 cos it looked just like the factory metal one. does the job fine!
  2. Thats low man, i hate people that go around debadging cars. Try checking any of the jap wreckers/parts importers, you'd have to think they would have a few lying around.
  3. Actually 2 pak isn't that expensive, when you consider the small amount needed to do cam covers. The expensive part is the time that the painter spends on the job. If you did all the prep work youself (sanding, etch prime, light sanding of primer), the job can be done for a lot cheaper. We did one of those 3800 V6 holden engine covers & a strut brace in 2K green pearl the other day and the boss only charged him $10!
  4. Any crash repairer should be able to do this. Ask around and get a few quotes.
  5. I don't think that drifting is all about outright power. It seems to me that the people who win these events usually are the more experienced drifters. I think it comes down to a well balanced suspension setup and incredible car control. I'm not sure what limits are on the D1 series but none of the FD's or S15's have more than 500ps, and some of the the AE86's had only 200ps!
  6. my first ride in a skyline, was in an R32 GTS-t, totally stock exept for an exhaust and 12psi boost. It was raining that day so we had the tail out everywhere! I was previously looking for a 180SX after a mate took me for a ride in one, but the skyline changed my mind instantly. So yeah, the power and torque really blew me away. The stability and handling was very impressive too. I was hooked and within 2 months i'd bought my own!
  7. Sounds cool! Count me in. I haven't been on any cruises yet, so it'll be nice to meet all you people and your cars. Cheers, Sam
  8. I couldn't get the picture to work, but if you mean the black inset grill with the red 'S' on it, most of the S2 R33s i have seen have that grill.
  9. Paint stripper is messy stuff and not as easy as it sounds to use, its definitly easier to sand the car. If you really want to go back to bare metal get a sander/polishing machine with P80 grit sandpaper on it, and make sure you use a partical mask or respirator. If i was you i would talk to the guy who is painting the car and get his advice on what preparation work he wants you to do.
  10. Yep, same situation. Was gonna get a bike, then decided totally against it after hearing about other bike owners run ins with drivers who 'didn't see them'. So i saved all of my money towards the skyline. There is not a lot of room for error on a streetbike, not matter how good the rider is, you can't take into condsideration other road users stupidity.
  11. I think the GT-R runs low 13s & GT-St mid 14s depending on condition of the cars used.
  12. Cool. Now i know how that all works! Mines got the spoiler up and down control on the dash, but the spoiler part is missing from the front bar.
  13. Yeah, i think thats correct. I reakon 300ml came out of the breather hole and I drained about 500ml out. So now that there is 3L in there, it seems to be fine.
  14. Yesterday i changed my gearbox oil with the Redline lightweight shockproof. I bought the 3.8L container, which i thought was good because that is the capacity the GTS-t 33 manual trans is rated at in the book. So i drained the old stuff and filled right up to the filler hole with the new oil. After a drive on the freeway to get some suspension work done, we find oil splattered everywhere underneath the car from out of the trans breather hole. Anyways, my question is how much oil are you actually supposed to put in there, someone at the suspension place thought it was meant to only be 2.5L? Is that correct? Has anyone else had this problem? Any help appriciated. Cheers, Sam
  15. My only problem is that it comes back after a few months. Has anyone found a way to permanently fix this problem?
  16. lol, i dunno how well they'd support you while cornering
  17. I need to buy a set of Whiteline camber adjustable bushes for the front of my R33. Can anyone please tell me where these are placed, is it the lowest arm next to the oil sump there? i need to measure the original ones to figure out weather i need the 40mm or 54mm wide bushes. Cheers, Sam.
