  1. i can see your point, it does come down to the individual. it just seems that many overconfident young lads get in these cars, with little to no driving experience and come undone. ill admit that holding 3rd gear sideways in my little gemini was not a smart move, it was raining and on an open wheel diff, and i paid the price bigtime. it was a lesson learnt that day of what a car is capable of.
  2. kralster, he asked for opinions on what would be the best car for a 17yo on p plates, he didnt particularly ask for 1 persons opinion.
  3. imo dont use the enamel the only place ive ever sprayed air dry enamel is painting machinery/excavators. it dosent hold gloss, and its tempermental to apply. Dave, sounds like u didnt thin the acrylic out enough, or sprayed it too dry. maybe next time spray a test panel first to get it how you desire. but yeah as xicon has said, 2 pac is the way to go if u can organise it.
  4. ah shit, sorry to hear man! f**ken car theif scumbags!
  5. my first car was a tg gemini that i paid 1500 for, it wasnt the nicest looking car but was extremely reliable. in hindsight it was the best option for me because i literally killed that car, it copped huge mechanical abuse then got stacked in the end. imo, buy something cheap to learn in, save some cash, buy turbo car later.
  6. spotted a nice black 33 GT-R with gold centered mags, henley beach and tapleys intersection.
  7. Findon Crash on Grange road
  8. the ignore strategy works best. all they are looking for is attention, or a reaction. deny them of this and they'll lose interest. people who tailgate annoy me no-end, i feel like asking them 'how much time do you think you will make by travelling an inch from my rear bumper'?
  9. hey Luke, count me in.
  10. sorry to hear this David. RIP Kennedy.
  11. same here, ive never had a problem with this. but having said that, i ignore the bogans, i dont even glance at them, and dont bother egging them on at lights ect
  12. nice compilation Vu! awesome work!
  13. i was wondering the same thing, i almost though it was some kind of car club thing. agreed it looks gay though!
  14. i will still have my current skyline, i cant justify selling it because ive spent too much on it. so ill just keep it and do the occasional mod here and there.
  15. thanks for Cubes for organising the day, top work man! it was a good day, good to catch up with people i hadnt seen in ages and meet some new people as well! thanks for taking me for a cruise in your 34 Andrew, that cars so smooth on power delivery! thumbsdown for the soarer driver, seriously what do you think you prove by booting it up an down the street in front of boostworx? and big thanks to the boostworx team, very professional as always! thanks for putting up getting my impractical car in and out of the workshop
  16. looks awesome! looks to be a series 3 too, so u get the cool projector lights
  17. thats nasty! i hope there wasnt too much damage to your cars!
  18. thats it. anything can be done if you have the money. one of the guys on the sa forum has a 32 fitted with mostly 33 bodykit parts and also some rx-7 stuff too, and i believe he did a lot of it himself. it takes long and tedious hours to slowly mod everything to fit.
  19. yeah its a common paint/panel tactic, put a rediculous price on a job they dont really want to do. its happened in every shop ive worked, its easier and more profitable to do smaller-medium sized jobs compared to big ones.
  20. add a power fc and fuel pump to that and u should get 200kw ive found it comes down to the driver, if i get beaten by an r33 with less power im not going to blame my car, im gonna blame myself.
  21. exactly! thats the point i was trying to make earlier too. to the people that dissagree, do some research in the forced induction section.
  22. yeah im pretty sure it is. ill try make it down, im keen as for this motorsport park!!!
  23. i got mine done trhough ATS, we had a slight setback, but they fixed it up and all good!
  24. yeah i think that was a contributing factor, mind u i didnt own the car at the time
  25. yep same ebay kit that you posted, except i got mine off kto_kogo77
