  1. quality looks great to me that light adds a nice effect, looks very "midnight racer"
  2. Top stuff Pete! nice to see its all complete! hope to see you on the roads soon Sam
  3. yep, its a full replacement of the factory computer. also have a look in the Group Buy section, thats where i got mine from for $940
  4. from HPI: SR is the more fuel efficient - CA18DET - 15-17L/100km SR20DET - 14L/100km
  5. from what i understand there is no shortage of oil, there is still an abundance of it over in the arab countries. i think the US and it's pointless war is to blame... i hear unleaded is going to be at 1.60 in the next few months..

Thats one very nice looking GT-R, rims look great
  7. Hi DriftR33, thats a clean looking R33 youve got there im running stock boost at the moment and it usually sits at 6-7psi (btw stock guage doesnt measure in psi) i would recommend boostworx for dyno & tuning
  8. depends on the amount of rust & where it is. if its just surface rust it can be sanded back and repainted. if the rust is right through the metal it will need to be cut out & new metal welded in post a pic of the rust if you can?
  9. I drive my 33 to work, and after hopping into the VR Commonwhore Work-Bus, belive me the commondore is the boat. try and pull a low speed U-Turn and that thing is rolling all over the place
  10. i would recommend hanging out until you find one that is the colour you prefer, i almost made that mistake and im glad i waited a bit longer. there seems to be an abudance of sellers out there at the moment & no buyers, maybe cos of fuel prices?
  11. shed of the week
  12. that interior looks brand new in those pics! as long as the engine is in good condition and the body is straight & car handles nicely, it would be a good buy
  13. you really shouldnt pay more than about $30 for a wheel alignment, most places do it in about 1/2 an hour for all 4 wheels. one place tried to charge me $110 for a wheel alignment after some suspension work, i was quick to tell them i would be taking my business elsewhere
  14. I think its pretty hard to keep the line of numbers straight when you wind back. even if they were initially straight, they go wonky once the ks start ticking over. i know mine was wound back, sometimes the numbers look very straight, and others they look a bit up and down... some people guage kms by the wear on steering wheel, gearknob, handbrake, pedals, seats, dash ect
  15. 16K is probably an average price, there are a lot of variables depending on the car

  17. lol, wrong section mate! but use scourer as 2GU UP says, also use a plastic degreaser/cleaner, and plastic primer to assist adhesion
  18. re-sale value is also something you must consider
  19. i personally dont think the matt finish would suit the R34 at all. it would look unfinished... same with semi-gloss black, maintenance would be a killer too. dont paint it in anything less than 2-pack paint. 2K gloss paint has properties that protect against weathering too.
  20. sounds like valve stem seals check that all the breather pipe that lead from the rocker-covers are free from blockages
  21. its a bit of a pain to get the alternator out, its easier if you can get underneath the car somehow
  22. i think as long as its off an RB25 it should be alright
  23. i think we found the problem, the battery terminal was a bit loose, i did it up real firm and everythings be ok so far...
  24. strange weather we are having here, was raining this morning, nice & sunny at lunch-time, now theres some sort of storm coming through... :S
