  1. That tyre looks like it has been over inflated, but the pic quality...........
  2. The Q Z car club is CAMS affiliated, plenty of keen racers to give you a go too, here http://www.zcarclubq.org.au/
  3. Thats interesting but WTF are Newtons??? Convert to pounds per square inch, kgs, or something real?
  4. 15" would be borderline, depends on the wheel, there can be quite a bit of difference between them.
  5. At Morgan Park Supersprints in Q the cars line up on the track and are flagged away in pairs. At QR there are hardly any CAMS sprint events anymore, QR run AASA 'sprints' and get big numbers too, lots of good street cars that otherwise would not be seen.
  6. Here are a couple that are interesting. http://www.ozebiz.com.au/racetech/theory/wttrans.html http://phors.locost7.info/contents.htm
  7. An 'even spread of pressure' would also depend on the rigidity of the calipers, the more the calipers flex the more uneven such pressure will be. No matter how many pistons the caliper has. Those G4 calipers have a very open and long bridge which is unsupported, unlike eg Stoptech calipers. My bet is that those G4's flex quite a bit.
  8. This topic is a good idea, pity about the lack of response. Anyway, I've had good results when doing sprints at QR, Sprint circuit, with Bendix Ultimates. Great bang for buck but not a race pad. So thinking of EBC Yellow stuffs, which are supposed to work cold too. My big concern is rotor wear, but seeing noone uses them.............
  9. Like the way the duct openings are curved to face the airflow across the front of the car, should be very effective. Someone using Yellow Stuff brake pads?
  10. Have heard good things about Hawk HPplus, will try a set once project car is ready.
  11. No one knows? Have heard that some Skylines have a helical diff.
  12. Will a S15 helical Torsen type center suit the GTR stub axles? Any other alternatives?
  13. They are both about the same, if not the same strength wise.
  14. Anyone tried Porterfields? Down the linked page a bit re DS2500 see pic. http://www.ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7660&start=0
  15. Have found Bendix Ultimates will do but need more retardation on the track. Have tried Ferodo DS2500, pfffft. Hawk Blues chew rotors until hot. What else is there?
  16. Looking for informed opinion on brake pads that will work fairly well when not up to temperature and then really bite when hot. Presently using Bendix Ultimates, have tried Ferodo DS2500 and not interested in the DS3000's. The Ultimates are satisfactory all round but don't bite hard enough on the track. So what is the answer?
  17. Much prefer a solid top, not a T top, manual a plus. Any condition providing the body is good, I'm in Brisbane but will travel. No messing around full cash deal, email [email protected]
