  1. ~260rwkw @ 1bar You've suggested two very different turbos, time to search.
  2. 2cents... Theres no restriction on size, just noise. If they see fit though (when defecting you) they can order an emissions test i believe. The popo can still defect you on anything thats Ok'd in your eng cert. As such, a different piece of paper saying your dB is xyz becomes moot. ... also they aren't stupid, they know people change zahust setups after being done, so they take pictures of your setup. Yes they can defect without measuring it. Thats my rough understanding, unless somethings changed. Btw my old PE2 was around 97dB at the required RPM, and then popped a 107 on rev decel. Thats a rb26 with stock front pipes, so yours could be closer to 100dB i would think.
  3. Fender mounted indicators on a bnr32? - what are they?
  4. LoL nice work. Still i severally doubt you could actually get kicked out SAU with s.core pron hah. Down with the man!! the whole state turns into a set from Skippy most winter mornings. +2 for the link'o'lulz I care! *sniff* Nah seriously, late night, early morning bar hoping is what makes the place... to think you'd be stuck in one of 1000's of Melb bars from 2am is off the wall. Thats U.K. stuff, not Australia. Anti hooning laws might have moved the ozzi sedan rats from the roads to the streets hrrrmmmm - damn hooligans.
  5. Disconnect cable to throttle body, and give both a jiggle, it cant be too many things GL
  6. Hahahaha best poost eva
  7. Iv seen many a non airbag car, engineered with a hole there (ACT) though it required a reinforcement ring, bracket etc. This means little though, talk to your engineer. Most wont charge you anywhere near $1000 each time.
  8. Imo, the 2nd manifold looks good + iv seen too many spastic 9sec street VL's running that style of gate take off to remember, to think its that. Many ppl swear by that style. 10deg variance under load? that surely could be your issue. Thats a fantastically huge fail from a piece of Autronic hardware. Many a car would go bang with an extra 10deg thrown in at redline and wot. I blew a wad over your dump / exhuast setup btw man, looks fantastic, love the gentle flare off the back
  9. Exhaust turbine exit can have a groove machined out, so a piece of appropriate OD pipe fits snugly inside it. Thats then welded through the appropriate dump pipe flange, and flared out to match your exhaust width. The cavity behind the gate flap has your "screamer" pipe mounted it it. Tis o l d school, you should be able to hunt some pictures down. People often have a hard time ridding leaks, as the style of actuator and general flap design sux, that plus ur time to make it all up relegates it a relative rarity to see done these day
  10. Full seeek... $100/hour labor to start with. Search the forum regarding exhaust leak, and possibly you can find the leak yourself, or at least direct the mechanic to it. EDIT: When will i ever learn to refresh a page...
  11. If its a dud sensor, then it would be the cost of the sensor i would imagine. If a R34 is like a BNR32, the sensor that feeds the dash gauge is high on the drivers side firewall. Maybe loose plug? Check its part # and swap it out with another one. Is the PFC using MAP based load, or have you got the boost control kit connected?
  12. I know, told my shrink all about it. ...still a ghost town though ha Do people have any views on the 2am Melbourne lock out? F-k that annoys me, how backwards. There are websites and facebook groups full of angry punters atm.
  13. tough crowd hahah. ACT Wasteland is so quiet these days... well deader then usual lol
  14. You have two GTR turbos on a soarer?? thats different, what manifolds are you using?
  15. Hi Tech 344 Bourke Street, (cnr Short St) Darlinghurst NSW 2010 Sydney, AUSTRALIA http://www.hitechmufflers.com.au/home.php SMB 11 Aero Road Ingelburn, NSW 2565 http://www.smb.net.au/
  16. I was just looking at a mates setup tonight actually. If the solenoid is sitting in front of you on its side, black plastic cover closest to you. Theres a port left, right, and down. In this orientation, the port facing DOWN is the feed (from plenum / comp cover etc) the port to the LEFT goes to the actuator. The port to the RIGHT is left open to atmosphere. Haha, not how useful that is to you.
  17. I almost bought a TR as well. If you want to keep that rear cannon (which would be doing very little sound muffling) then yah, you'll need a custom oval muffler where the resonator is now. Iv seen good results from Hi-tech and SMB in Sydney (both can offer advice and make one off mufflers on site. Nizmoid has recently had a system made for a RB of similar power. He ditched the cannon and used an oval muffler at the rear though.
  18. Above is the crux from what i can tell. 20 issues (fingers + toes), 400 cars = 95% of the time things go normally. Its not Lego, so millage can vary. My understanding is super efficient m.folds like Kyle's, allow gas to so easily enter the turbine, bleeding enough off to get a low boost level can be hard. Kyle's above china example is a good one. Collectors are often so crappy, that extra backpressure before the turbine, means the gate doesn't have to work so hard (limiting chances of over boosting) A 3582 .82 isn't huge on a 3L too. Issues suck man, but just work through em, with grace From what your tuner has said, am i right in thinking that there are two 44mm holes in the collector, and theres still issues? On another note, I shudder to think how the second bleed as been (or not) blended in. EDIT: Didn't F5
  19. LoL @ drilling out stock lines for GT2860r-7's. Crushed or contaminated feed lines is a awesome start... but also a khunt to check at this stage
  20. Did removing the restrictor coincide with the "drive train shuddering" issue? When you initially removed it, did your test include loading the car up properly and revving it right out? Never the less me thinks your surging is prolly ignition breakdown. Put the restricor back in and see if its still an issue at stock boost. If issues still there, do all the normal plug checking, coil testing etc. As for drive train, don't happen to run mismatched (unequal) wheel / tire package do you?... or a missing snow chain lol
  21. Anyone here checked out the Shadow VS Cut Chemist "Hard Sell" gig? Saw the last show @ Palace Theatre in Melbs l/thursday, was huuuuuuggggee, 8 decks of 45rpm goodness - omg - ooh maah gahhwd.
  22. It has been talked about a bit on SAU, do look around. People do try and use the factory allotted amount, as its of butyl inner / outer construction. Unlike the "inner" only of normal fuel hose. I almost ordered a few meters of it from Nissan with some mates, but worked around it. That’s pretty trick, UAS having it on hand. Someone on here used some of that "fuel resistant, clear with single ply construction" stuff you see at hydraulic hose places as insulation between an 044 and cradle. Iv also seen it used for the pickup... not for the high pressure OUT though. As for food for thought, some ppl have talked of stripping the metal braid off of Teflon hose (Speedflow, Earls etc) and hose clamping it on.
