  1. Sounds like a wiring issue, from tank to gauge. Or maybe some contaminants on the resistance slider? Had any work done near the tank? Pump etc? Had any wiring done, stereo?
  2. Well, from my / mates experience they are, but only when in fairly constant / normal operating scenarios (10:1 - 17:1) PULP, piston motor accelerating. But your correct other factors like super rich / lean, big cams, decel, ignition misses, too retarded ignition can make things very uncomparable Iv seen super retarded ignition increase EGT's instead of lowering Ie. Thermocouple per cyl and a decent A-D box is just so much cheaper then 6 LC1's. If only we could warrant the cash :\

  4. With ACC on, wouldn't there be a pin with 12v (red) on it, another one thats grounded (black); the other one u could assume to be signal?

  6. FYI theres a few climate control "test modes" that can be used to display errors with actuators, sensors etc. Grab the manual for your car and have a squizz.

  12. As i mentioned, I've NFI if a 20 is the same as a 25, I've never eyeballed one. EGT's from mod'd 25 plenums tell the real story. Check out the "Do i keep my 6 TB" thread ATM in Forced Induction. Theres some interesting talk, and per cyl AFR results.

  15. So the dampener acts like a one way valve too?... I thought there was both a one way, and a dampener. I know ppls who didn't want to pay for a expensive high flowing one way; Letting the pumps prime normally before hitting the starter prevents any delay.
  16. Interesting idea's being thrown about when OP said... Every cat'less car i know has a particular smell to it. Hard to describe. When idling, and a breeze blows the fumes into the cabin, smells kinda oily i guess; sure its not just that? If your sure it only started when you ripped the catback off, smashed the china out of the cat and shlaped it back on... then start there first. LoL @ Luciano_GTST....   20. If you reckon you wouldn't notice an extra .5s (i doubt very muchly that going to 3.5" IC piping and a 100mm would give that) from WOT to power delivery... you don't drive close enough the the edge ""Loose" is fast, and "on the edge" is out of control" lol. Got 3 hours left tech head
  21. Ahh I see Obi Wan Im mixing using throttle response, instead of lag, and lag as the boost threshold. Using my proposed test setup, you should be able to measure the time to full boost in the plenum after throttle off / on. On a dyno you could get stupid and run a stepper motor on the butterflies; run the same "right foot simulation" program with two different IC's and check the boost response time. It could get silly hahaha.

  24. That would make sense if you tuned it with an unhealthy pump, or a really dirty f.filter. When you changed to the new pump, that actually holds pressure... the old tune proves too rich. You mention getting it tuned, but lack a ECU on your parts list... so i assume you have something on there now?
