  7. ^yup Fuel pump and flow is like Girl Scouts knocking on your front door trying to hock cheap cookies. The number of em can increase, but it wont effect your wallet... as long as you don't open the door (injectors) lol
  8. Yup, thats my understand, i dont listen to ne1 who speaks differnt. 60mm WG, Consult, EGT probe, do your own welding - respect. This setup/thread rocks!!
  9. Haha, well im the other guy pulled over in front of you, when the booze bus guy waves his f_king orange light saber around Iv seen whats required to get a chassis hole engineered, just a brace around it. Like two rings, shaped to the whole size, top and bottom; bolted together. Best to check with the engineer that would be doing it, for what he will pass.
  10. I think it was GT who found that when tweaking his car for emissions, a richer mixture was needed to lower noxious gases? Seems crazy. I been watching all Club Sports and BA V8's, and gee they do shoot the soot when under load. A mate mentioned that when getting his car over emissions, the guys there said often the RTA or what ever, will swoop on a OEM shop front... like Holden or Ford and demand tests of all the stock cars - many of them fail. STOCK cars failing set emissions laws? hrrrm. Somthing more to think about.
  11. Serious? Hrrm, maybe i should actually look up the law, see from what year onwards they had em lol. Doesnt matter, ill still whinge bout it. I red a statistic that Ozzi cars account for 0.0000001 of the worlds carbon footprint, and they threaten us with $20k fines for no cat - *sniff*
  12. ^^ thank Christ.. thanks djr
  13. +2 - det induced Setups that aren't over revved, and aren't subjected to high temps, take a lot more 450. I don't think its the heat that would kill a piston (hurt its metallurgical strength) Rather, I think the heat would cause det and that would kill it.
  14. Very good work dood! Fan'tabulous to see ppl being innovative! Bout the whole legality thing... if a 1L motorbike doesn't need a cat.. why should a ~2.5L turbo car motor.. get done for a screamer without one? Seems silly, when its only venting sometimes... - basstards.
  15. Who buys anything from shops dese days ne way? ha Good luck with sale
  16. Yah, the core isnt the same width of tank, moot really. Dummied it up week or two ago. Check my b l o g for a picture installed - don't laugh The unit sits 10mm lower then the stocker. (you can just see the top support rods don't really clear the top bracket rubber mounts, in my photo) No real issue, as you can just flip the brackets upside down, flip the rubber mounts around too. With fan shroud bolted up, the blades have heaps of room to spare.
  17. Yah, CP or JE... I been wondering this myself lately.
  18. Multimeter + Battery while running will tell you if your alternator / regulator is playing up. Workshop manaul
  19. "Yah bro!" Its mm of mercury... Trust Me
  20. Silly Q: but you used a surge protector when jumping yeah? Fried ECU coulda cooked a coil.
  21. Getting some proper copper to an after market pump in a Skyline is key, but i wouldn't thi... wait.. You have a R33, the battery's already 100cm away from the pump Make sure you let us knows what the issue was
