  1. URAS more then likely has some good input on the T78
  2. Not that i know of, but many of the big brands make rails to fit top feeds onto 25's. Larger range of injectors if you go that route.
  3. Yah, as the bearings in floating axle turbos go, the comp wheel can wear on the cover, causing a whistle. Cordia / TX3 whistle ne one? Not sure if its the same with BB turbos, grab the wheel with your fingers and check it.
  4. Ma m, ma muma, my mumma said not to stutter my life away. jk couldn't resist
  5. Stop complaining and get back to the grindstone Really though, Kyles manifolds have been proven many times, just not blantently on SAU. I think sometimes ppl need to look outside thier safe little blue on blue SAU IPB forum window Chuckie you beat me to it
  6. ^^ Always wanted one of them. Im still v.keen on learning where Loc got the impression IC's affected spool, not having a go, just interested
  7. oooww - feisty thread! Hell yes 280's are massive on a small capacity import motor though. What ever you do decide, make sure you do your research. Strokers, cams and turbo clearly dictate the nature of the car when done. With only two driven wheels, your planned use for the vehicle needs some good thinking. Tis the code given to the normal, run of the mill RB26's. I.e. not N1 or GT block. Theres some good info on SAU regarding this.
  8. I wasn't comparing, I listed in notation form what you need Everything else is fine, by that i mean tested and proven countless times; by all means upgrade what ever you want for piece of mind, but this is the min required. "cc" denotes the flow capacity of a fuel injector, in this case Sard 700's. At rock bottom price of $230, just grab the 044, its a no brainer when your talking the price difference of a tank of fuel. These pumps used to retail for more then double this. Agreed, u are very smart Have fuel enter both ends of the rail, exiting in the middle for more even flow to each injector. Evening airflow to each cyl in a RB's hard enough (when hard tuned on th edge) without having to deal with non linear differences in fuel to each cyl as well. In reality a common street white bread 600hp RB will cope fine, by just being safe with ARF's and Ign adv. Edit: Theres no bias here, I use an HKS rail, Sard FPR and a grands worth of dash fittings; I have my own reasons.
  9. It could, but can you really drive a stock one for "ages"? I found the 4wd and HICAS makes it feel too safe & boring. Quickly it will feel like hot poo and you'll want more
  10. Tis all Sooo secrete squirrel
  11. Joined 5 years ago, musta been a looong game
  12. As people have said, its a done deal. 044 (600hp) - ~$230 700cc Sards - ~$650 Lines, rail and FPR are fine
  13. Congrats on purchase, welcome to debt This link has RB26's in various states of tune and power output. Zhaust & pods will raise your boost to around 10-11psi and give you about 220rwkw. Running more boost then that is a risk, and yes, your motor could get scared by some ceramic dust. Rem its an old car, so they've been known to go bang on stock boost
  14. Ha - vote #1 best question of "08!! A IC is a glorified radiator, used to move temp energy out of a less viscous medium... intake charge air. Gets some thermo couples and stick em pre and post IC to check yours is working ok. I can assure you, it has no effect on spool noise
  15. Rofl, i cut specifically shaped pieces of foam and fit them, every time i remove i.manifold, e.manifold, power steering lines etc etc. I comb my carpet and wax the bottom of my feet! ... .. ok, i made those last two up for affect. But seriousally, with all the dough you pour into a car, to think a fuel / oil issue could kill your motor dead quick, pains me, hence the thought out modifications
  16. ya dammit, did it arrive?
  17. Antonio Ban'dar'ass
  18. Tuners should know this all too well. Any car dyno tuned, thats as sensitive to knock as RB's needs to be loaded on the street to make sure it doesnt det.
