  1. Ouuch, condolences, that’s gota be one of the most f_uck things. I’m not sure on the design of the water jackets. Hopefully its not small enough to jam your thermostat closed :\
  2. Nice one Scott, 403 day old thread Hah Funny There needs to be some l33t uber trendy forum word created for people who go and post on a thread without checking the last post date
  3. What do people say? "GTR, land of the rising credit card debt"? Owning and running one properly isn't cheap, it only gets worse You have a few problems there man. 1) Speakers - more information. Did you only change the speakers? Are they 2ways, do you know they work. Does the cone pop out when you give the wires (pulled from the head deck) 9v from a battery? 2) Rev's - Dude if your engine speeds rising and you ain't gaining knots, then your clutch is slipping. (assuming all 4 wheels aren't smoking) Is it an OEM? How much power you making? 3) Turbo timer - F_cks knows, what one? Set to auto? broken? I'm putting $100 on your tyres blew cause you were doing burnouts with the ATTESSA relay pulled out, which you did incorrectly and short circuited the turbo timer. This fried your clutch and the smoke damaged your brain, causing you to install pancakes in the doors, mistaking them for speakers. Cheers
  4. I'm with Johnny - idle... though glock hasn't mentioned its idling at a lower RPM....
  5. Iv saved a pic of your car, as it does look pretty tough Resin the crack and spray it with some thin body color coded paint, so you can still see the weave at the correct angle.
  6. A link by itself is virtually useless and will be seen by a very few. You should have copy and pasted the text into this thread (crediting the author) so that it comes up in a search. Course, I wouldn't bother if i was you as a) Its been mis labeled as a "carbon?" cannister, instead of charcoal cannister b) Its the second hit in a Google search of "RB26DETT carbon cannister removal" (as per (a) - moot) c) The mod is illegal and upsets the hippies (and possibly dangerous, spilling fuel into the engine bay if the car goes upside down i think) d) The time spent doing this "mod" could be spent installing a new one (some evidence shows an old one can cause bad mileage) somewhere out of the way, like these tuning gods talk about Click More information -> Click Let the googlebot index THIS page Good Times
  7. Hey Alex, The canisters have quiet a short use by date, so I would suggest purchasing a new one. I hear OEM ones cost a mint, so pick a smaller one (for ease of re-mounting purposes) from a local manufacture.
  8. *chuckles* Possibly some missed the sarcasm LoL
  9. Many don't run one at all, so you don't need anything. If its job is to dump air, and a bigger one... umm, dumps more air, then i guess you have to decide if... you want your impeller slowing a bit, or less then a bit by use of a larger one (or two) Crank 2bar into it, and if it flutters when you back off, I guess go bigger. Id suggest its a setup / driver preference thing

  13. On the topic of utopia, a bleed tank allows one to setup trick multi point head water relief ... just wanted an excuse to show a pretty CRD setup hehehe.

  15. It was a utopic response to Disco, who was suggesting the thermosiphon killing effect of having the turbo cartridge, as the highest point in the system. Taking a the feed from low in the block, and feeding it high to a breather tank would tick all the required wish list box's including... ... without needing a alloy rad, as the return could be hidden around the back of the engine and fed into the breather tank.
  16. Low hung sumps scare me, like a bull walking through a corn field
  17. A thought - Instead of requiring a new alloy rad to plumb in the turbo return to, and the concern with high mounts being the highest link in the cooling system; use a ARC style air removal tank (~$300) (or one of the much cheaper derivative's) and weld a fitting in. Most people mount the top breather tank, high on the driver side strut tower; which would be higher then the turbo cartridge - booya
  18. LoL, you couldn't resist, like a kid with a new toy at show 'n' tell The SR setup should be wicked, good luck man! *waits for Disco to come sprinting over, all frothy mouthed and sweaty palmed over the TS setup*
  19. SK's Oil Control Thread couldn't resist, theres a lot of info on the topic.
  20. Oh really? how bout that - ta
  21. Kemp, who fancy drilled those covers, not Mr Turbo jobbies are they? Cheers
  22. Congrats, hope you enjoy it!
  23. You could quiet possibly be mixing up, EGR gear and crankcase ventilation (I.E. PCV circulation) ... I would think the dipstick would pop out, before crankcase pressure cracked a head
