  3. AHAHAHAHAhhHAhAHHAhHAHAH Edit: Actually i have one. Theres a guy at work whos picked up a 290kw SS Commonwhore. He’s got a bunch of V8 mates. I told him bout my car. The next day he tells me his mate says "I build V8s, order parts from America, blah blah, theres no way a "SkyRine" could ever make 350rwkw.... Its painful enough getting any bigamist up to speed, let alone convincing them something, let alone shattering this guys world with talk of 1500hp "SkyRines" and World 4wd class records. Only after pressure did I send through a quick email with SAU's RB26 Thread, and mentions of using YouTube Theres a lot i don't know about, but to be that gun hoe, being so many FACTORS below par in understanding of ones enemy (clearly anything with OHV is the enemy) is brain numbing
  4. If your looking for an excuse to spend money, then dont grab the X-Force one. Grab one from BOS Imports or SMB The SMB ones at least are known to go on some fairy quick rota's and if it can survive the exhaust temp of them, it will suit your civilized RB just fine. I see it as a do it once, done right thing.
  5. If you got it for "Dirt cheap" then no real loss, just sell it on. Just use the stock rail (you wont like the cost of AN fittings to get it running anyway) I would recommend really researching parts you need to make the power you want. The RB26 Dyno Thread is more then a page of braggin rights. You can browse many setups and get an very good idea of what parts people are using to make what power. The search box will save you $$$ and ridicule. Happy tuning
  6. Still not completly done and happy with it, but its not on the car yet. Will go over with 800 > 1000 again, then buff with compound. In the end, its about time; the thoeroy is there, it just takes time. I couldnt get a sanding tool into between the runners, so its all about how quick your fingers repair from being sore and "finger printless" Just do a few hours every day and use the idea of the pictured product to keep the enthusiasm up haha.

  18. Hahahah Ill forgive the photo because of the mass of experience you've written up! HAHAHA
  19. I’m never polishing anything again, at least nothing as complicated as an RB26 inlet plenum! I calculated around 40 solid hours to complete, and I didn’t even complete the bottom of it! - Paint stripped it - File finished the whole thing, casting marks, letters, deep pits from the sand cast - Used the above mentioned “fan like” paper sanding drum on the end of a drill, with a small 1” one for between the runners. - Worked way from 400 600 800 1000 grit. Then went straight to the stitched cotton buffing wheel drill attachment. The finer cutting compound was enough ( I think because I went right up to the 1000 wet and dry) - Came out really good, I should post some pics up. I would never ever attempt this again, unless paid an insane amount of money. Iv heard ppl do a little each night in front of the TV, with it on their lap, but I prefer doing it wet, the paper lasts a lot longer and doesn’t clog.
  20. ^^ Spot on, my thoughts / questions exactly ^^
  21. Cubes a lil off topic, but does the stiffness from the new subframe bushs negate the use of pineapples? Most likely a silly question Ha
  22. There are little sleeves or cylinders that locate the plenum <> TB and TB <> Injector boss. If theres crap in the holes, they'll prevent you from being to clamp the mating surfaces properally, and cause a gap... if that makes sense.
  23. Thats odd, as the injector open time isn't being touched. This topic comes up a lot. From my research, the lag time has no effect. When in batch firing mode (non sequential) your firing a portion (half or 1/4 depending on available injector drivers) against a the back of a closed inlet valve anyway, so im not sure how a few ms of difference is going to effect anything. I'm still not sure on the use of the feature. A lot of ppl simple set it to zero and tune 2 cents
  24. Hahahaha As for fuel, everyone assumes they tune it on thier crazy $3/L stuff.. but maybe its not. Grab a wide band, and try the ECU out
  25. JUNKY PANIC - must advance the ignition a few "points"
