  1. Precisely my train of thought. So quiet, they "surely" wont pick you, unless they've already pulled u over for silly driving (done half a dozen RBT's with no mention of noise level) Think im replacing center muffler with straight pipe, or just making new 4" sys to match 4" dump. Looking around, seems the PEII should sell well 2nd hand.
  2. Looks like mine. Could be a stocky with paint stripped off of it.
  3. It pains me to visit this thread, F_ck i would sacrafice a lamb to have my car on the road, cold temps, good times - GiVe mE PaTieNce Of GHANDI
  4. Bugger.. double bugger
  5. arrgh f_ck, that was a nice 32, a single silver tear fell [ Insert "P platers wasting my spare parts" whine here ] jokes
  6. FINALLY! Procrastination is the devils 12th sin Not to damper your spirits, or sound like an emo anti-establishment wanker but my PEII on a BNR32 was 97'ish dB, and popped a 102 or something on the over run (years ago, everything completely stock) I would class a PEII as ridiculously quiet. Anything that sounds RB tough will be illegal. Cop the canary, and fit your rego setup for the pits ($150 2" cat back fab'd from anywhere) My jaded 2cents
  7. Rofl, wtf, check the service manual, use a multimeter, faaaark this threads ancient Assuming the body of the sensor is earthed, check it with each pin on the plug with a MM ^^
  8. One could get the function back by using an after market unit. NZ Link make one, and as much as people say about them, you could setup something pretty fancy. Use the 5 LEDs of the KnockLink as inputs to a Haltech. Switch maps maybe, even flick a mosfet and make the AFM see 5v (to over fuel it) Just noticed they make an amp called a Knockblock One could use the 0-5v signal again, to input into a stand alone ECU, or use it to fool a Trust, PFC etc.
  9. Apologies, such stereotypes
  10. Love the noodle guy!!

  13. World Nissan Federation has just lifted its ban on single turbo RB26's, you should be able to get by no worry's
  14. A mechanic that really cares for your safety on wet roads How nice of him
  15. As always, thanks a squillion
  16. Could be a multi plate setup, which makes a noise when disengaged. Could be a slightly noisy input shaft bearing. Redline shockproof dulled the noise in mine. Hope this helps
  17. Had same issue, plus 2nd > 3rd shift crunch if moved too quick (not fast enough to be branded abuse) Redline shockproof cured all, plus allowed me to actually get it into 1st when cold and rolling at walking pace. Have heard on NS i think, that Redline can harm the box. I don't believe this though. M
  18. Free Weights, "Free Wait" Haha thats awesome, spat some coffee on my keyboard
  19. Haahaa, damn ravers,
  20. If you want power, you should get a full exhaust. E-manage isn't comparable to a "stand alone" system in any way. For your spoken of requirements, a PFC would suit fine.
  21. As said, PEII is quiet, almost too quiet. Don't like the tip, cut it off, weld on some 3" stainless pipe, and paint the whole thing with some heat proof black paint.
  22. ^^ Agreed, the boot that sits around it, was squeaking on mine. Gave it a wiggle and some silicon spray
  23. Could anyone hazard a guess, as to how much of a difference testing a cold motor would have on results? I tested an RB26 that hadn't been started in 4 months... needless to say, the results were disgraceful, with lowest 125PSI, highest 140PSI. Should I stop worrying and wait till i can test again when hot and oiled? Edit: Grew another testicle... tough now, for news either way M
