  1. Many dozens of WOT high load tuning runs might have some negligible wear, but the majority of time i would say, is spent on low load spots, getting drivability just right… which would have virtually no wear my 2 cents
  2. Car enthusiasts don't risk the health of a motor for no reason, its almost always $$$ related. As already mentioned on here, its tuners that charge $1k for a full tune on a PFC, and 400 for a "touch up" that make people more content to hang on, and wait till they get [insert here] until properally tuned. -- Edit: Realized i only ranted the hassles I totally agree in finding a good tuner, to help progress the development of your setup. Although it can rack up the costs a little, your not always going to get charged that same amount for touch ups I think one should try to tune the best combination out of each specific setup; it would give the best comparison of "which mod changed which feeling" which builds a better a understanding. Remember, a smokey farting, stalling import, isn't what its all about. --- Dyno more abusive then the road is a crock. WOT at a constant RPM while tuning a load point maybe, but i would think having wind resistance, and a constant 70% throttle position in 4th gear up a slight hill would constitute more "time accumulative load" or "engine damage"
  3. The way it smoothen's out to almost nothing on the right hand side, i would say a casting mark. If it is a crack, it happened a while ago as the edge is quiet smooth too.

  5. Was that started from cold, or warm? YouTube's shite, use a microphone in a laptop
  6. The infamous h2k - Hey mister, i seen your Dubai vids on uTube, you guys are using up all our stocks of parts dammit! Get your grindy grindy on, rip the seals out, and source replacements! Jesus, you "no tax" guys are wiping us up!!! ... jk - kinda
  7. I'm convinced T04GTR that most of your posts, while factual sound, are bashed out, while coming down off a heroin hit. Your English is completely "EnGrish" i love it.. keep up the good work!!!!
  8. Ha, tacker, looks like a red skin went MIA Yah, they aren't plastic.. but have a fiber weaved through them. Have a friend who used two but removed due to lack of ability to control temps. (7 years ago) Im sure the new pumps with fans and proper controllers would work well. Most would have heard me rant on about, electronic thermostats, electronic thermos and water pumps all controller via a well programmed IC. BMW's runs diff head temps depending on load. Damm - they push a current through the spark plug just after firing; and amount of resistance through the air between electrode and base pin somehow detects "per cylinder" AFR One day, one day, i will have the time... Sorry back on topic, the hardware seems sweet, just spend the time on the "smarts"
  9. Tis your BOV and general fuel delivery brought on by your mods. Stick your AFC sensor bender on and tune it, you should be right.
  10. baaah, oooold. Check "http://wotm.com/videos.html"
  11. Eating a kBab with extra beef and tabouli still aint guna cut it, in a cell, cus they jailed you for your flame popping, alarm sounding Line... jk
  12. Off Topic, Checked the latest Zoom? Kyles dry ice sucking, 10,000rpm spinning monster is doing 9.7's, and is looking at 450kw's... in a 1G!
  13. ^ Yup. Anything that stands in the way of the gas flow (and the sound waves that move through it) will dampen the sound. A I6 M3 with a big zhaust is ear splitting. Replace the second muffler with a resonator, and keep the $ for the fines
  14. I got quoted 6000 3 years ago... surely just a claim to make me f_ck off Welcome bluegts!
  15. Air pockets sound like a good guess, but how sensitive is the water temp sensor? would it cause it to HARD flick from figure to figure? I reckon its electrical. Get a multimeter onto man
  16. Low muddy hum, similar to my last sl*t of a gurlfriends vibe, when the double D's were down low Sure something isn't touching something? Overly tight wires can "strum" and xfer the vibrations.
  17. LoL, sits on zero eh? You'll find people can better assist you if you list your mods (turbo at least), who installed it ( tuned it) and which setting is registering "0" Even the Japanese manual shows some insight on the menu structure etc. Recommend you browse it so you can tell us which menu / setting is registering zero...
  18. Feck me, nice car to be "learning teh mechanics" theres some heat in that bay for sure
  19. Gday Str8E180, I know you as a frequent to NS user, welcome to SAU! Is that work in the picture yours? Is it your manifold? Cheers
  20. Of course, makes me envious of R33's long noise
  21. Has anyone seen ESP's GTR on the street? 630kw, wide body, No2, T88 ( forget zact spec) Would be a bit of a weapon me thinks
  22. Belt a tooth out? jokes. Not sure, man, is it def a "clicking" sound?? Most belts make some noise when new. My Gates one, "whirrs" a lot more since replacing (plus idle and tension pullys) I doubt very much it was .8mm plugs that was causing issue before, would have been the playing around with the CAS that did it.
  23. Thats your valves, carving there signature into the tops of your pistons
  24. Strong output! Nice! What kinda turbo, cams you got? Have a mate with a Trust 817 10cm, 264's looking for around that power. I was in a mates Capella, which wasnt holding boost on the dyno, still made 344kw's. Belows the same dyno, a few weeks ago.
