  1. Doollers man, 7000 doollers
  2. Hehehe, i foresee a "your AM BOV is leaking, put the stocker on"
  3. With the cost of filters, and the ease of changing one with a filter remount setup, filter every 2000km, oil 5000km
  4. I’m under the impression a RB26 head will flow well over 400rwkw.. so beh. I think your confusing the difference between AFM's being a restriction to physical air flow and them running out of signal output resolution. Nismos units will just bolt up to your stock piping and plugs. Your loss of kw's is a bugger, could be a lota things, fouled plugs, lack of good spark, incorrect exhaust cam settings, fuel pressure fluctuations, ex GF, jealous work office colleague - write a list, and think of scenario to fault find each problem, work your way down Good luck man - mikey
  5. Yah, I agree with Troy, engine revs would comes from same source, and feed both FC and dash gauge. The dash speedo though would be from a cable connected to gear box. As evident when heavy breaking and accelerating, there can be huge hysteresis in the needle. PFC would however take the speed from the hall effect sensors on each wheel for your ABS system. Me think the requirement for the ABS to have a good idea of vehicle speed, would automatically mean its more accurate then the dash speedo. 2c - Michael
  6. waalaah! thanks cubes,
  7. Howdy, Are we talking about the spreading of a cylinders fuel requirements over two injector openings? Instead of opening once on intake stroke, it opens twice in the 4 stroke period, two half openings, effectively squirting fuel on the back of the closed intake valves. This was done with older OEM injected engines, plus is a method used by thems today with cheaper AM ECU's, as you only need half the mosfet's or "injector drivers" I dont quiet understand its relation to the Wolf though, pause on the pop corn and give us a hint - Michael
  8. Torque down to as much as you can with the correctly sized spanner, is the normal concept. With smaller spanners being shorter which naturally limits leverage; just don't lean on it - M
  9. Sounds like a package!! your a bad man for getting rid of it! Nah, this is "accepting toilet seat down stuff" iv wanted a GTR since school, and plan to develop it for years to come, spending now on fuel / ancillaries, iv accepted. - M
  10. SK and Nismoid - agree the stock rail & reg / nismo one are proven to flow well, as with mines 600ps & Sk's 700ps, but can you quantify or measure pressure response as per Barons comment. Nismoid - thats a huuge amount of power on stock gear, a real testament of OEM Nissan but i figure that on the street or track with wildly varying engine load and fuel requirements, inconsistent traction etc would stress the response of stock reg. The rail i figure is a fuel distribution and tuning issue. At peak engine torque and fuel requirement, your tuning to the detonation limit of the weakest cylinder; people spend more on after market water lines into the RB head, porting and CC'ing etc, I thought to limit individual EGT cylinder trimming. I belive in not changing something until its a bottleneck or an issue as well as anyone, but with the amount of money some people spent on super expensive engine oils in a year, whats a few $100 on AM rail/reg and some speedflow fittings at the bottom of a GTR's modification bill RB-POWER - yup, thats what i was figuring, if stock is ok, then the std SARD unit it surely fine up to the 400rwkw's of my turbo. Thanks all ! - Michael PS - go gentle on the newbie
  11. Thanks SK, 145 views of my thread, and no one has even heard of a TB spindle issue? Exxcellent Cheers! - Michael
  12. I been checkin SAU out for years, I should prolly get my bum ass along and say Hi! And I would... if it wasnt for a broken ankle - Michael
  13. !Nudge Nudge! No one runs a SARD Std fuel pressure reg on a car with more then 300rwkw's? Iv heard of ppl using a Nismo reg on some very serious cars, think I'll just leave this one on, as it "muuust" be as good as a standard / Nismo unit. Cheers - Michael
  14. Off topic, Though i think Top Secret picked the 4 cyl to mimic JGTC rules, in which you can run higher boost.. - i think. - M
  15. Hey Adriano - I have SARD 700cc inj, plus a HKS rail and an 044, and figure I might as well set it up properly with a AM FPR and some dash fittings now. I grabbed the reg as I figured its peace of mind for a few 100 bux. Cheers RB_Sandy I’m looking for people who have had to change a FPR due to it being a bottle neck, and specifically those who own the Std SARD reg and respective power. Thanks - Michael
  16. Hi, I’m putting a single turbo on a RB26, and aiming for 300-380kw@wheels. Iv purchased a normal SARD FPR, not the “RJ” version, which I understand is required for over 500ps. If [300kw x 1.34] x 1.2 = 482.4hp give or take, that’s 480ps already at the lower end of my intended boost settings. I understand the RJ looks larger, and assume its got a wider diaphragm to maintain good pressure control at higher flow rates etc, but if anyone has any experience and can tell me if I can still use this Std version and what / when the limitations are? Mucho thank’o Michael
  17. Yup, that’s what im hoping, and worst case, that’s what im doing. Wanted to see if anyone’s heard bout this before, just in case there’s a similar seal made for ... cappuccino machines or pool chlorinators Thanks Duncan
  18. I’m put off buying new tb's if i can just source half a dozen $2 seals. Nissan wont sell the seals, at the least, you need to buy 3 new tb's! Yourself Google and this SAU's search button are hinting to me that a leak here is very rare, and possibly I was correct with the gasket leak then Hrrrrrrm. *ponders* thanks for your thoughts Cruise - M
  19. Hey CruiseLiner, Thanks man, thats a great help, off to bunnings i go! Mega cheers M
  20. Hey, I have a intake leak somewhere around my last throttle body runner. Brake cleaner sprayed on the last return spring, that sits around the spindle, would cause the motor to pick up the lazy cylinder and idle smoothly. Thinking it must be the spindle seal, iv removed all the TB's and found myself a problem; I cant seem to source the seals ( show in picture attached ) Iv gone to a few local specialty seals places, and have found ones similar, though they aren’t made of viton, hence fuel resistant. I’m currently waiting on a quote for 500 custom made viton seals. Has any one had any luck sourcing these seals, as Nissan want over $3K for 3 brand new TB's. I’m almost temped to replace them with non fuel resistant ones, as the race bearings that the spindles sit on are a pressed in sealed unit as well ( and actually probably do most of the sealing ) The leak in the end, I think might have been due to loose rear plenum bolts, those last 3 pr1cks underneath as I could see blackening of the plenum >> TB gasket and the brake cleaner would have entered THERE under idle vacuum. I’m running out of options, thanks guys!!!! - Michael
  21. Ahhh ok, I should have guessed. I need to do some research on these tools then, to figure out how much room I need to do it. I have the intake plenum off and don’t want to put it back on only to remove when I fit lines. Thanks a lot, any pictures would be great
  22. Im running some speedline fittings for fuel and was wondering how to connect some 400 series to the steel fuel line. Its a BNR32 and I’m looking down towards the engine bay fuel filter location at the high pressure and return lines, wondering how ppl do it. Do people remove that section of line from underneath the car and weld / braze a threaded fitting on to take a SF barb fitting? Any thoughts would be appreciated Michael
  23. Interested in seats, Please send pictures to [email protected] Thanks
  24. Your correct
  25. I was there on the Sunday only, that was a mistake; pissed down the entire time. There was still of couse some skillfull, ballsy action. Then there was the wet trip back to Cbr.
