  1. Have to revive this dead thread to see if there are any other American Skyline owners. I'm American and currently living/stationed in Japan. I bought a 1995 Skyline R33 GTR with ~36,000 km on it! Only mods on it are a Blitz intake system, some 18 inch work emotion rims, a MoMo Steering Wheel, a HKS turbo Timer, and a 3 inch cat back exhaust. I'm in Japan until 2020, so the car will be 25 years old by the time Ieave Japan and I can bring it back to states. Current parts I'm currently planning on is some spit fire coil packs, a 3' high flow cat, and a 3 in. front dump pipe as well. After that I will add some HKS hyper max suspension to give it the drop it desperately needs. I will most likely replace the Bltiz air filters with either HKS or Apexi. I don't like the metal mesh design of the blitz. Here are some pics:
  2. Excellent! Seems simple enough, thank you.
  3. Thanks for your reply, if I run a three inch front pipe, do I need to increase the size of the turbo back pipe to three inches as well?
  4. Exhaust Piping Question Hello All, When I bought by R33 it came with a 3 inch cat back exhaust. I'm planning on removing the stock cat and replacing it with a high flow one, either Venom or Catco High Flow Cats. Both have 3 inch openings/flanges and I looked up the front exhaust pipe is only at 2.5 inches. Do I need to upgrade the front pipe as well to 3 inches or will the 3 inch cat bolt up to the 2.5 inch front pipe? If I do have to upgrade the front pipe to match up to the 3 inch cat.... Do I have to upgrade the turbo back pipe as well to 3 inches? -Nate
  5. Thanks all, I'll try solder it first and see where that takes me.
  6. Thanks for the reply Ravi, I have seen a couple of topics about re-soldering the Joints inside the MAF. I have never soldered anything before and was contemplating buying a Cheap gun. I know that AIP sells a replacement with Platinum tread connections. I might buy those and hopefully never have to worry about it again... thoughts?
  7. Switching over from Toyota's 1G-GTE to Nissan's RB26! Hello All, I'm living in Japan for the second time of my life, the first was about ten years ago. I had slow and very heavy Toyota Supra (Mark III) with the 1G-GTE and was sliding all over the place when heading back down the local mountains, but it was a cheap car and it was fun... despite it's short comings. Now I'm back 10 years later with a much better salary and dropped the money on a 1995 R33 GTR (63,000 KM) and couldn't be happier. I'm currently examining the car from front to back and taking care of any reliability issues. Wouldn't you know it a month after owning it one of the MAFs went out, so that's my current project. Anyway, I've received a ton of useful information from this forum.... so I figured I would quit lurking and join up. -Nate
