What a co-incidence, I just did that. Read previous post. But its at 14.5 instead of higher 13's, is that unsual or normal?

I just went outside to start the car and check on the voltage. Car still struggles to start but does, i measured the voltage (using a multimeter) from the lead going into the alternator (red plug over the lead) and it showed 14.5v which means that its charging the battery and thus isnt the culprit, I assume? Also, does anyone know that when my engine suddenly lost all power that it may have an adverse effect upon the engine?

As mentioned before you exhaust must be running really rich to produce that outcome. And also really really hot. Strangly, my exhaust tip completely touches and rubs against the same location where you have those burn marks but doesnt do what yours is going. In regards to fixing it up, you can use checkplates I suppose wouldnt wouldnt that get hotter when heated up and make things even worse for the surround area and under the checker plate. I'd just either adjust your exhaust some how (extend flanges maybe?), replace the rear bumper or simply spray it for a temporary fix.

I remember a while back when I installed my dump pipe that I accidently left a slight gap between the manifold that connected the turbo and dump. Result? the most awesome sounding noise from an RB engine, an added bonus was that is so friggn fast as well. Sorry, bit off topic. hehe

Jar, I noticed you post the exact same reply in his other thread. Just let him do what he wants, it too doesnt make sense to me but isnt my car. Seems as though he wants an aftermarket/modified series 2 to fit on his car. Personally, I wouldnt buy that kit as a it being aftermarket its easily going to cost xxxx amount while a stock series 2 bar would be considerably cheaper.

This wasnt meant to be a rant but more of an observation. My car didnt break down during peak hr so I would assume that the majority of people that drove past wasnt going/headed to work. RAA wouldnt have helped as I didnt have my phone or was I near anywhere pay phone facilities. But yeah, a few import drivers just boosted straight pass me as though there car was better than mine. <_<

Sam, when you get back to Adelaide want to go the route that we took through the hills on that cruise a while back. Has some nice roads, perfect for your run in.

Duy's supercharged s2k is still putting about the same figures yours is currently at but he told me your running a turbocharger. Sumo, thanks for the advice I will do just that. Unlike earlier today when the car didnt want to start at all, it now does but struggles to turn over needing the help of throttle action. Say i wanted to check the voltage on my alternator though, would i just measure the lead that is coming out of it from the back and what voltage should it be? thanks, duc.
