  1. Hi, I have a 1978 GC210 Nissan Skyline for sale. Price $1,800 ono. Engine: L24 Carby six cylinder 2.4 litre Odo: 51,000 km (goes to 99,999 km) I believe, that judging from the original service book and a few other notes, it has done 251,000 km in 27 years. 2. Hi, great to hear that your car has been owned from new (family), not many people would have a '78 C210 from new. With regard to an engine conversion, i know from experience an RB20det red nics performed quite well for the relative weight of the C210, but that was 5 years ago and the motor is rare (good motor)with parts also rare (esp air flow meter) these days. On the plus side, it fitted in perfectly except for engine mount (you had to whack in one-side of the engine mount bolt as it was approx 10 mm out). I have, at the moment, a 4 door in good condition which i am planning to put in an rb20det silver from r32. The engine is much cheaper these days and parts a common. Total cost would be about $3000 fully complianced. Best of luck with your car. Also, upgrade your front brakes and shocks also if having more power. Also fit a bigger radiator from a datsun bluebird, because they cool a bit better.
  3. Hi, i think the C210 came only with 14 inch wheels in 185 and 195 size.
  4. thanks, i will do that.
  5. Wanted: R31 RB20DET Red Rocker NICS engine with 5 speed box and turbo. Also, i need: Loom Airbox and AFM Computer Intercooler - not needed aircon would be handy but not necessary live in Rockhampton Central Qld regards martin
  6. [And it's fuel efficient in that one can - 'one' I assume being someone limper of wrist - drive to an average of 13.6L/100km (32mpg). Hell, it even looks good, longitudinally mounted as an engine should be. When is 13.6L/100km 32 mpg? I thing that around 9.6L is 32mpg. What do you think?
  7. Hi Everyone, I would like to know if anyone who owns a C210 Skyline, has transplanted a RB20DET or RB25DET with any success? I would be thrilled if someone has done this and is willing to let me ask him/her of any questions that I have during the istall. I purchased a '78 C210 4 door that is in very good nik, happy that it handles better than the R33 RB25DETskyline I use to have. Remember it only weighs 1200 odd kilos, and has the same rear suspension set up (mostly) as the R33. If you have never driven one, trust me, it drives better than a R33! Martin
  8. Well I've had a good response from YYY 11. The funny thing was when I purchased them I never thought of the meaning. But I still think personalised plates are not cool. There was a fad during the late nineties but now it is not very 'personalised'.
  9. How many kilometres travelled on the front struts, please? "Bilstien front struts $230 complete with springs " regards martin
  10. Kane, I just paid $2000 privately, for a 4 door, 5 speed, '78 C210 with 248 000 original kms. no rust, original wheels, steering wheel, seat trim etc. The only reason I bought it is for transplanting an rb motor into it. I could not see anyone paying more than $1500 privately for it if they were to buy it (four door) and keep as is. If you have the 2 door version (good for you) expect $2,000 to $2,500 maximum. Greater demand. If you found someone who was going to transplant the motor like me expect $2,000 4 door and $3000 2 door. The C210, to me is a classic nissan that was very underrated (only the engine -power- was its downfall). Good Luck selling it. However, I am missing all the Skyline badges on the boot and side rear tail guards. If you still have those and you decide to sell it for parts, give me a tinker. Martin
  11. Hi Roy, Thanks, I will send details today. Regards Martin
  12. YO880, Have you found any articles yet? I'm also looking for the same issues. I am going to do that exact same conversion except with a silver rb20det on a 4 door 78 C210.
