Little trick I use.'
I have a little tupperware with some seaweed stuck to it. I chuck all my stuff in there, bury it then leave the sea weed out so I can see where I put it. Just make sure no-one sees you do it.
Old scool!
cops can't sticker a car unless its being driven or accompanied by the owner. If that was the case they'd just set up camp at Autosalon and have a field day.
A) start your own thread!
B) Its a silver box up under your dash. rip it out or cut the wires. Why would you want other people to hear it? it sounds shit and its not a truck....
Hey guys,
anyone wanna swap headlights? ha ha my right hand side one is a series 2 projector with the clear projector and the left hand one is a series 1 with the hazy projector...
R32 head lights are bad enough so having matching ones can't hurt.
cheers.
I got my R32 complied by them, top work, so fast too...
ossie_21 : think I was there that day you test drove the black R33. Did you have some nice car you came in? Like a bombed Prelude or something...
You held me up cause Paul was busy with you he he
that's normal then! Its all good Price you pay for sideways on demand.....
All rear drive cars have some degree of driveline slack, what you mentioned is just the normal behaviour of hardcore 2 way... amplified by the stripping you've done.
Don't forget you almost sit over the diff in an S13 if your fairly tall...
Why modify the R32 lights?
Cause my dirtbike with a 2x2inch headlights throws TWICE as much brighter light then the R32 can muster....
I can't honestly believe these (along with S13s) were allowed to leave the factory with lights as bad as these....
No idea, obviously there's oil in the diff? he he... Different brands are different too. I've seen and felt 2 way diffs that didn't make any noises and ones like mine that sound like they're gonna snap.
I had a 2 way in my silvia and only on cornering did it make noises, hell noises too. You could also feel the car shift sideways on itself after correcting. Not sliding either, normal driving.
I would think there is some problem with the tailshaft/diff connection if its clunking under on off throttle.
I'd say its hitting the factory boost cut if its boosting to the end of the factory guage. Mine onlly gets to around the half way mark.... Its a fuel cut so it could sound like a dodgy pump.
Cold air will make the problem more obvious as it will boost higher in the cold as the air is denser.
Check this first with someone in the know as your fuel pump sounds like an aftermarket job.
hey guys,
finally got around to doing this........ I think.... Are you meant to take off the little brass cloured thing with the plug or the actual metal part with 4 bolts holding it and a gasket? I wasn't sure so decided to take off the brass part and in the process nearly lost the little spring!! It looked perfect so I blasted some CC down the hole where it goes into the metal thing.
seems a little better, do I need to take the other part off to do it properly? Will that gasket need to be replaced or will it be okay?
cheers!
also, if your jumping off a small car, eg Mirage/excel. Keep the little car revving a bit to maximise the charge...
FWIW, if your starter motor was stuffed you'd hear nothing when the key was turned, the clicking indcates its all good there.
Hey guys,
niggling little problem on my R32 Gts-t. When I reverse and put the brakes on you hear a metallic clanking sorta click that comes from the front of the car..
You can also sometimes hear a slight creak/click on first take off.
I guess this is a bush/bushes that need replacing. Anyone know which one? How much are the bushes on a R32 to replace?
cheers!
AFM = Air flow metre. Its the pipe with a metre in it located after the air filter, you can see the plug going into the side of it...
I cleaned mine with contact cleaner from dick smiths, was very durty.....
I got mine over with a 3 inch Kakimoto system, I think it was below 90DB, pretty quiet, have since cut a resonator out so its a tad louder....
If it is too close to the ground they will tell you. Not normally a problem in R32s as the system aren't designed the same way as S13s/WRXs where they hang low under the diff then out on an angle...
Either get a massive muffler and a couple of resonators or try and find a stock system to get you over and then modify the one you have once its licensed.
I had a bit of trouble with things I would never have guessed so the exhaust may be the least of your problems....
Your clutch is knackered dude... WHen your in fifth the gear is too tall to mask the problem so it slips...
Get a decent heavy duty/single plate replacement if you don't wanna spend more then $1.5K
If you nurse it and it doesn't slip you should be okay, keep giving it shit and the flywheel will eventually get scored requiring machining to fix.
