The interior comment is the onl thing you said that holds any water. No-one has proved conclusively that the R33 is faster then the R32. They are identical or at the best R32 is a little quicker. It surprises me that so many of your comments were rather stereo typical. I think the R32 appeals more to people that have migrated from S13s and still want a nimble smaller car whereas the R33 appeals to people who want something more practical (and butt ugly ) The R33 dash is far better then the R32 but the exterior looks like a taxi imo.

Australia Post- *simply Don't Trust Them*
Bazelinez replied to brokenr32's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Oh yeah I hate them too Got a part for my KTM sent over from Melbourne after searching everywhere for one. Its the only spare in the country. The shop did the right thing, registered it and all. EXPRESS, so it should have bee here in 2 days max. 3 weeks later I rang up the shop got the reg number. Australia post were less then helpful, said they'd never heard of that number and to take it up with the shop. Basically the shop got shitty, got compensation from Australia post and thus re paid me. Not happy, I now have to order the part from KTM which is a 2.5 month wait from Austria -

I have a pair of GTR headlights for sale, PM me an offer

Both my Silvias and the R32 squeak, so does my mates Rex and his Lancer. I don't think its necessarily the sign of bad things.

I have it too. Its on the flat bit of plastic between the centre console lid and the tray thing you'd put your phone or something? Mine was connected. What I think it does is activate the 2 pairs of fog lights simultaneously. The ones in the head light and the ones on the stock type m front bar that some have. Check behind the front bar and you will probably have two plugs hanging there with white end caps on them. I believe these were for the stock fog lights. I took my cluster apart the other day. The fog light button below the rear window demister wasn't hooked up. The plug was just below diverted in a factory style harness to the switch near the centre console. I unplugged it there and plugged it back into the dash fog light button. Mine has a GTR front bar so no fog lights anyway bar the ones in the headlight. I always thought it was aftermarket, guess not!

Yeah the muffler is definately vibrating, just gave it a few whacks then As for the soot, anyone else have the problem, my Silvias used to do it to a degree but not as bad as this, or it just the fact the car is white? he he, stupid questions.

Stiff/odd steering
Bazelinez replied to Sarumatix's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Its the HICAS locker. Mine has a Tomei HICAS lock kit and every now and then normally when parking it will get very stiff and clunk, then go back to normal. Dunno what causes it, doesn't seem to have an detrimental effects so just sorta ignore it, mines a GTSt -
Hey guys, Just recently my Kakimoto muffler has been making this annoying tinny, buzzing sound at idle. It sounds crap, has the muffler given up the ghost or is there sonmething else wrong? Its a brand new turbo-->---cat but its a Kakimoto cat back.... could the cat be stuffed as well? Also, anyone else with GTS-Ts get a heap of black soot over the back of the car? within a week or so the back is fairly filthy. Fuel economy is normal, would a stuffed cat allow shit to get out the back? cheers!

R32 And Suspension Bushings... Need Help
Bazelinez replied to AzzurrA's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
This is a very similar scenario to a trip to Peddars a while ago. My steering wasn't self centring properly so I got it checkerd. They said I needed new bushes on the front and a new power steering rack. Almost a grand in parts and labour. Turns out the bearings in the column were dry - $5 bucks for grease. Saved myself a lot of needless cash. Be wary. -
Thanks fellas, is diff/gearbox oil changes part of the 100K service? Mine has the timing belt sticker, all new ancillaries belts and a new o2 sensor. Is it safe to assume the gearbox and diff were done too? How much are we talking for a gearbox and diff oil change. I can't really say I feel like changing them myself.

Bazelinez replied to Bazelinez's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
The drivers side one, you can hardly tell from the photo. its the little lens covering the park light. It has just come unstuck, not broken or anything. Not sure what globes off hand they take but they have all globes still in them as I changed to completely different lights and needed new globes anyway. -
Hey guys, sorry for another post but couldn't figure out how to change the title properly: Anyway! R32 GTR spoiler, fibreglass, white, good cond. needs a bit of polish (wharf dross) $125 R32 GTST bonnet, Silver, couple of chips good cond, $100ono R32 GTR Headlights, yes with grill attachments, good condition however the little park light lens is a little loose on one so if your pedantic you may wish to open them and glue it down. Has no affect on light and I can hardly notice it..... $200ono Blitz Super SOund BOV with adapter for RB20DET pipe Used but in very good nick. - $150firm Pics for some parts are below, others are as described.

Perth: Blitz Super Sound BOV w/adapter
Bazelinez replied to Bazelinez's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
THose aren't the type I have for sale. Mine take different smaller globes..... You should be able to tell what it takes my looking at where the globe sits. THen match that to a globe at a auto shop. -
sweet. cheers cubes, I guess its no spring chicken so some noise is bound to happen. OT: I took my front bar off to fit some new head lights and found it was attachced with two tiny self tappers and a plastic interior clip. Dodgy as.

121,000ks. Yeah my mums old car used to whine chronically and then blew up, so thats why im a little worried.....
-
Hey guys, Can't really tell if its always done it and I've just had the stereo on but when I trail of the throttle a little at around 90-100 in 5th I can hear a whine from the tailshaft/diff area. Can't be sure what it is. Full throttle it goes away, just rolling with no throttle it goes away? Strange, is it possible the gear box is low on oil or something? They should put dip sticks in gearboxes any help appreciated, cheers!

Perth: Blitz Super Sound BOV w/adapter
Bazelinez replied to Bazelinez's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Yeah its the one in the pic. No, by adapter I mean to attach it to your intercooler piping. It replaces the pipe down from the crossover pipe. Alternatively you can cut the adapter off the pipe and weld it on.... anything really.
