Unless it has some other connection I really doubt it. The speedo cable has been broken since before the engine conversion and it doesn't seem to idle too high or low. I also wouldn't know if it had a fault code anyway.

Yeah so apparently I can use either an s14 or d21 navara speed sensor for the 20 box, I'll put it in see what it reads and go from there. When the 20 box shits itself I'll go to the 25 big box or maybe look at the 350z box I've seen people using. To complicate things the car is running a 25det neo and has been going ok with no speed input to the ECU.

Hello, I have been scouring the forums for info on swapping an S15 dash into an R32 to no avail. My reasons for wanting to do this is because the R32 dash looks outdated and has bubbles, and my speedo cable is broken. Didn't really want to pay big bucks to replace something that is likely to break again so I want to go electronic speedo drive. Yesterday I bit the bullet and purchased a complete S15 dash with all vents, trim, speedo cluster and aircon controller. I still need to source the center console and potentially some indicator and wiper stalks (I was thinking A31 for this given the similarity of chassis) I got the 32 dash out in a jiffy and got the S15 dash in there, the 2 lower mounts line up with some encouragement and 1 of the upper windscreen mounts line up, however I think its sitting slightly to one side so I'll need to make up a small bracket to mount it properly. The blower fan duct doesn't perfectly line up so some air gets through but some modification will be required. I was able to remove the airbag unit from the dash also and still retain the cover which snaps back into place. I have tracked down wiring diagrams for the cluster and possibly the aircon unit also but I've never seen the aircon unit swapped most people seem to retain the factory unit. The wiring for the cluster looks fairly straight forward but the speed and rpm will likely be a challenge...and it didn't come with any plugs on the cluster.(might see if I can get some tiny space connectors but not hopeful) I'll post more pics as I go. -_- I feel like I only come here when I have issues..I really need to start contributing more. As per title my four door 32 has some electrical bullshit going on. Im still building it and just in the process of getting it street legal...Whenever the brake pedal is pressed the cluster lights and the park lights come on, it did have a blown tail light fuse and the park lights didn't work at all. Also worth noting...turning the park lights on by the switch works fine but the brake lights are very bright for the running mode, pressing the brake makes them go a little bit brighter but not much. I'm convinced a previous owner has been pissing around with the wiring as you can see by the red wire in the pic going down to the ignition barrel from the fog light switch...but I dont even know where to begin Anyone had issues of this kind?

I have seen many many threads of people going down the rabbit hole with RB misfires. Playing the game of buying all the things until one fixes it :), it seems for them though the car barely idles at all..

Hello, Ive just completed my Rb25det neo swap into my r32. Its having a miss on idle, I get RB's dont idle great anyway but i just wanted to get an idea on what might be causing it. Below vid sounds a bit like my car (but isnt my car) My engine is fully stock, just front mount and a walbro fuel pump. I have a cheap FPR I'll chuck in to make sure its not getting too much fuel. I have only done one pull since the swap and it felt ok, I just wanted to make sure it was safe before I take it for a proper drive. Cheers

Is there any chance this could be detonation if the injectors were wired up wrong or something. I can't find any videos online of what detonation sounds like.

Good morning,So I have in my possesion an r32 Im building to go sideways every now and then.It has an RB20det currently but the head is cracked, my friend is going 25det in his r34 and doesn't need his 25de neo anymore.My main question is can I throw on the 25det turbo from my 20det on to the 25de neo plumb it all in and wire it all up but still retain the factory 25de ecu?If I was to +t it I would only run wastegate pressure of 7psiIf not was is my best cheapest option for ecu?Thanks
