  1. What us really poor people do over here is buy GTR Nismo Turbines, w/ the exhaust port and put them on the CA Silvia's. It's a great drift setup, and i'm guessing since you can put a 15 turbine on a CA, and you can put a R turbine on a CA, they both probably fit on the R. I know to put R turbines on CA's you have to rotate the compressor side 90 degrees to get it to fit on the manifold. So you might have to do the opposite when putting a 15 turbine on an R.
  2. It's in the Gloria, Cedric Family
  3. [it's a VG30DET Powered 4 door.
  4. Does anybody know how much horsepower a cima air flow sensor can support? I'm guessing not as much as a Z, since there is one less turbine, but bigger than a RB20 one since the turbine is bigger. I just need to find out so i can due the calculations to adjust for K, cuz i'm trying to tune my ECU. If anyone know's, it'd be a big help. Thanks
  5. Try changing the o2 sensor and then resetting the ECU.
  6. Hey, If it's a older cefiro w/ a zenki harness you might want to check the ground to the back of the alternator. Another thing is there is a fuse in the engine bay, marked "main" you might want to check that. When the ground broke off on the back of mine, it blew just about all of my fuses, and melted a few relays. Did a check light (looks like high beams backwards) come on right before it caught fire?
  7. I like to use S-13 suspension, cuz there is a lot less spring travel. If you want the proper sized strut a S-14 front is about the same size as a strut designed for a cefiro. The only thing is that you can't use the S-14 rears, they are way too long. I like 12k springs on the front and 10k on the rear, makes for a crappy ride, but it's great for drifting
  8. Anybody ever wonder why cefiro's use a mechanical speedometer in the dash, but they have a wire monitoring speed to the ECU? They should've made the dash electrical because i'm getting tired of changing the dash because that stupid little ring keeps cracking
  9. For the auto lock i'm pretty sure if you cut the wire running to the ECU that controls the speed cut, then it'll disable the auto locking, and it's a cheap way to remove the speed cut. The downside to this is that the hicas light on the dash stays on, I just took the light out of mine, but come time for inspection, over here in Okinawa all of your check lights have to work, so i always have to hook everything back up. I'm not sure about the beeping, mine was stock turbo so it didn't have that, but it's probably controlled by the same wire
  10. Make sure if you buy a full kit with the piping, you get it for a RB25 R33. The R32 and Cefiro use basically the same piping, but they have a couple different one's that you don't really notice until after. In my experience, if you use piping made for a 32, the side where the stock intercooler goes never sit right, because the bends to the stock IC are at different angles. So basically, it'll always sit crooked. If you use R-33 piping, it sit's just right. That's how it is over here in japan, but it might be different over there.
  11. It's probably the torque converter(it's like the auto clutch), and it's not even worth changing, they were right go w/ the manual
  12. Yeah, for drifting they're great, it's a style that stresses more on braking and clutchwork. But i like to mess around with other cars late at night, and sometimes you just want more power.

    Whoretown Japan....

I got the same love/hate w/ okinawa right now. I love the late night drifting, racing and cars and everything, and most of the drifters are cool, but once in a while there are some really racist bastards who treat you like shit just cuz your not japanese
  14. What do you guys think about all the cars that used to be RB's being swapped to SR? It's getting popular here in japan, and I've had an SR cefiro, and it was great for drifting, but i still missed to top end of the RB. If i'm gonna go through the work of changing the title, i might as well go for a RB25. What do you guys over there thinking about this new trend?
