    Don't put HID or LED bulbs in reflectors, glare and the output isn't good. If you want modern style lighting, no choice but to retrofit (should cost below $1,000 all up if you do it yourself). Series 3 GT-R projector headlights are super expensive. The outer plastic lens must be clear, any hazing/yellowing dramatically reduces output. Alternatively if you're doing country driving, can try a light bar for high beam?

    Your location? My advice as an old fart: spend as least amount of money on your car as possible, once you have a large income, then you can spend absurd amounts on your car.

    CV's aren't' hard to rebuild, if you don't have the tools then yeah, throw it towards your nearest garage. Any half decent "mechanic" can rebuild a CV, it's quite common to do since there are millions of FWD cars about.

    Remember our cars are 30+ years old so expect the rubber bits to leak. I'd go around your engine bay with a can of "start ya bastard" or similar and look for leaks. FYI I got my car 10+ years ago with the standard boost restrictor in place, I removed it when I got it and the car never had any issues since (besices a leaking manifold gasket). tl;dr- Look for leaks before proceeding.

    brake clearance depends on spoke design GT-R size I'd go 9.5 +15 or +12, and if you've rolled your guards, 10" +20. People run 10.5 but I reckon that's too wide.

    beast mode! 1mil credits for your efforts sir. BTW I still have a G29/290 or whatever the updated version of the wheel is sitting in the corner, too lazy to set it up. BUT, the wheel does give you way more precise control, and after a couple of hours on it, your lap times will drop.

    I've always been partial towards the multispoke (10? 11? spokes) white wheels on the Gibson HR31s. I reckon the boxy R31 design and the 17" multispoke (BRAID?) work well... Also influenced by 90's BTCC era big (19") wheels. Also hard to beat TE37 or Enkei RPF01 6 spoke wheels. P.S. I was never a fan of "3-piece" wheels with the bolts, I preferred the monoblock designs... until I got my LMGT1s haha.

    Maxspeedingrods, yikes, please be careful and get them removed from your car ASAP.

    Replace calipers, or replace wheels. You can try to figure it out, or just upgrade the calipers to slimline ones if you're dead set on relatively weak BNR32 wheel (spec wise, 16x8 ain't that flashy).

    Honestly not that great, you have to mod the shit out of them. They (R34 GT-Rs) were good value when they were selling for 45-65k AUD but now there's no point, better off spending half on a modern performance car (which will chop the GT-R in every metric except maybe internet points).

    Definitely shop around to get a custom exhaust made up. Those prices seem ridiculous. If you're dead set on a JDM item, might be worth asking Jesse Streeter (or similar) to bring in a Japanese cat back.

    I would take the cluster apart and re-flow the solder joints, it's like 20+ years old now, so might as well refresh it.
