  1. IMO the "straight pipe" approach sounds crap. I'd (and have) go down the "two fat mufflers with mandrel bent custom exhaust" route. Not only would it give a nice note, it should be below 92dB or whatever the legal limit is.
  2. I've never looked into it, but I bet you 1 cc of 98RON petrol that the spray nozzles are the same as 90's era Nissans, e.g. Maxima, X-trail etc. Why would Nissan use specially made nozzles when they can use the one part across multiple cars. If you can, I would measure the R33 nozzles, then go to the nearest wreckers and look for/size up similar nozzles.
  3. The people living across the road from me (roughly 30m away) have various cars with loud exhausts. It's never fun whenever one of those cars fires up, especially at 6am. 2 fat mufflers all the way!
  4. Hertz are a good (euro?) brand, they specify high impedance and frequency response for factory setups. Downside is higher cost. If you can't run an amp and have to rely on factory amp, chances are Herts are a good but expensive buy. But like I said above, having done 2 R32 steroes, it's much easier to run your own cables + amp + speakers, your head unit should only require the battery +12V and ignition +12V. You can run earths/grounds and all the other wires yourself.
  5. It happens. The post dates aren't as obvious, but doesn't hurt to bump an old thread if it's relevant to your issue.
  6. A dude from Texas brought his car here to Australia? Amazing.
  7. I would find the +12V (battery) and +12V (Ignition), the rest you should run yourself. new head unit + 4ch amp + speakers = way easier than trying to use the shitty factory wiring.
  8. You need to provide more information, like what ECU, injectors, fuel pump etc. you have. those make a difference when you're converting from N/A to turbo
  9. Weird thing I found on my GT-R, unplug the smaller plug on the HICAS computer, you retain the "variable steering" (below 70 km/h you get lighter steering/more assist), but it stops the stupid computer from killing you (a.k.a. the HICAS kick).
  10. Do you have any pictures? Love to see chunky tyres on our cars. Guards were made for 300mm slicks so let's see them chonky bois!
  11. sorry to be a bummer but... B58 LOL
  12. I really want a Q50 red sport. WHY NISSAN WHY you fail
  13. Man... good luck. Let us know how it goes (since my car is getting 10 years old soon).
  14. as a former P-plater, never again. after groowing up past 25 years old, i recommend to always get 2 fat mufflers. nice note > loudness. f**k the loud kids.
  15. I put cheapo chinese bullshit pads on my HR31/Z31 front brakes at Oran Park. THEY FAILED WITHIN A FEW Laps. NEVER SKIMP ON BRAKES/TYRES/SUSPENSION. Only thing keeping you connected to the ground.
  16. Just did 3:45.019 around the Le Mans circuit with the McLaren F1 hehe. I put traction to 1 so can floor it out of corners without much worry. Will do Catalunya later.
  17. A euro that old, I'd change the bearings anyway. But definitely lift the wheel and give it a wobble.
  18. I do the online time trials to get silver (1mil credits). Currently the EG at Tsukuba I got 1:14.015. Show me what you got! (Don't take it too seriously I only use the controller, CBF setting up G29).
  19. Wow, didn't even mention the R31 GTS-R Yes of course I bought it and painted it white/slate like my old GXE 😢
  20. Wow Sydneykid is still around, haven't seen him (online) in years.
