  8. Christian - i went for std turbos, tomei poncams 260 9.15mm. It made a huge difference to the midrange and drivability. Someone else on here also did poncams on std turbos... Full list is: 1.1 bar turbo back exh stock airbox, high flow filter poncams + adj wheels i reckon area under the curve is pretty good, and low down power... sure turbos would have made more power, but drivability is very much improved... and I don't drive b/w 5000 - 8000 rpm all the time - 85% if the time is between 2000 and 4000 rpm don't completely discount cams

  12. it could be the spirit of a kid that's always been in the house. it might not have been threatened when the couple was just that, but when a kid came home it cracked the shits. similarly, when the sister / husband / kid moved in for the week, the kid may have threatened the spirit. also, has the kid been present in every room when the incidents happened? has the kid reacted at all, or changed demeanour during the incidents?
  13. exactly why i'm going to a Nismo FPR... no machined aluminium, no anodizing, just something that should do it's job and is virtually Nissan sanctioned... while cheap to boot!

  15. I just replaced the short section between the bracket and slave cyl with a maltech item. there should be no expansion or deterioration in the metal tube section anyway..? benm - they're like $70 or something like that from maltech and can make it to suit the car

  17. easiest thing is to get the paint mixed... the wheels I bought had been just resprayed, but don't think they were done in Australia
  18. haven't run the GTR in a year, but remember this hiccup would happen on light throttle cruise, like ignition cut out for a split second... happened about once a month or so?
  19. stuff does get lost in the post.... i ordered some stuff from a coffee / tea shop in Balaclava (near St Kilda) and had them send it to me in the city. it took 4 weeks to arrive. bloody AusPost
  20. still dangling the carrot... found these even more ricey headlights on Yahoo... not conversion to HID but shows what a black surround looks like they went for the 5 series BMW 'halo' type light as well... PS and I don't like the way the LED park lights are circular... I think it takes away from the 'stockness' of the retrofit...

  22. there is no way a RB26 converted non-turbo would pass registration with the NA brakes... and even if it's dodgy and gets registered - the first time a cop who knows what he's looking at will take you to the cleaners no I don't think it's a good idea to touch anything RB26 seeing your recent unfortunate writing off.
