  1. have guards... not in the best nick but can be fixed. in melb where are you?
  2. quick (semi) related question - when I install the HICAS lock bar, do I simply remove the HICAS light globe via this description? cheers
  3. lucien - got the JB Weld from Ebay... as far as I know I couldn't find it anywhere in Australia! Not sure who the manufacturers of the Euro projectors are... will have a look for stampings but dont think there are any. In other news - I melted my other chrome plastic surround... Idiot left it in the oven too long. Had to source another headlight (thanks 'twisted') and will pull that apart. More shortly
  4. yeah what's wrong wiht poncams, bloodnut?
  5. FYI cost is stupid money, easier and cheaper to do a custom cooler with electric pumps etc...
  6. no, to run a GTR rotor you'll need an adapter bracket to use a GTSt caliper in fact i think GTR rotors are 32mm vs 30mm thick for GTSt so might not be able to use a GTR rotor with GTSt caliper at all...? Ask Roy
  7. pretty sure a 324 will require a 17" wheel. a rotor upgrade will be heaps better than the 280mm because braking is a function of 1 - torque that is applied to the rotor (increased rotor diameter, higher torque) 2 - rotor's ability to dissapate the heat (larger rotor, more mass, more heat capacity) 3 - caliper itself and ability to consistently provide an even force across the face of the pad consider that the factory 4 pot nissan caliper is a pretty good thing, just that the rotors are a bit small for dissapating track heat. go the 324s and you will find that you might not even need a caliper upgrade. what may be of worth is a caliper rebuild kit (all the rubber seals) and a bit of time to rebuild the factory caliper... don't think the seal kit would be more than $150 at a guess?
  8. why??? and the GTT caliper is two piece and bolted together... as are all skyline 4 pot calipers
  9. Enjoy the 105L fuel tank at the pump
  10. there's my alloy 40mm at Troy's - you can haul your lazy arse down there and fill it up and weigh it. and R32GTR gearboxes are heavy... no, you can't have mine.
  11. where are you located?
  12. My friend that is a HONDA PRELUDE!!! oops
  13. R32GTR bonnet not light enough????? how about taking weight off elsewhere first... eg interior
  14. potential rotor cracking at best, at worst massive failure of the rotor if it comes apart. new rotors are around 300 a pair - worth doing.
  15. Make sure the face of the surface where the rotor meets the hub is clean and free of debris, i.e. the rotor is perfectly flat against the hub. Give the hub a power over with scotch brite or something alike to make sure the surfaces meet flat. Similarly for the wheel to rotor surface - clean the back face of the wheel that mates the to rotor. Have the anti-squeal shims been correctly installed in the caliper between the pistons and brake pad? Have they been installed at all? Has anti-squeal been applied to the shim / brake pad? What brake pads are you running? are they known to be noisy at moderate braking force? That's probably a start cheers
  16. This is what I'm after - a 89-92 model headlight see how a 92-94 looks different and doesn't have the raised section around the high beam
  17. Seeing that I melted the inside of my headlight (ie the chrome bit), I need another headlight to pillage the crome trim bit. I don't need anything but the inside - so the housing or glass can be broken - I don't care. The cheaper the better... don't really want to spend more than $40 for a busted headlight... help a fella out with his HID retrofit!! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=93963 It must be a projector headlight that looks like below - there are two types, the early ones and later ones. The early ones have a more pronounced lip around the projector and high beam assembly. IF you have pics I can tell you if that's the one I'm chasing. This is what I want - driver's side (RHS): but see all I need is the chrome trim that goes around the projector and high beam reflector. Oh yeah - I'm in Melbourne! Thanks
  18. I'll take the 'twin turbo' pipe? PM me your phone no. I'll give you a call thanks
  19. i made a mount that clamps to the headrest mount of an R33 GTSt from alu piping. it holds a Manfrotto Tripod head. as I can't use it now, and it is taking up space, if someone wants it they can have it - you'll just have to get a tripod head for it. it's a bit rudimentary buy does the job... will throw up some pics when I'm back in Melb Cheers PS easy as to make... just do it yourself!
  20. you can buy universal ones... whiteline sell em... Autocrap might sell them too. don't pay more than fiddy bucks.
  21. PS should have bought a genuine C-west grille you tight arse. ahahaha
  22. no offense but you can get new Philips 4100K HID bulbs from the US for US80 bucks plus around 15 bucks shipping. http://www.hidplanet.com/philips.html
