  1. what's wrong with your factory BOVs???
  2. I'm going to run 265s on my R34GTR rims when i get them. In a wheel related question, while no doubt the 18x11s look TOUGH above, i do wonder about the 3 piece Japanese type wheels (like the Works and SSR Professors) and their ability to swallow a 365+ diameter brake disc. I know this is not a big consideration when buying wheels for most people, but I would look SERIOUSLY at max disc and caliper clearance before spashing out on a set of rims. The TE37s are awesome as they will take a MASSIVE rotor in 18s. It's a consideration as you don't want to have your nice sparkly 18s only to find down the track that you won't be able to fit the 365mm rotor APs you bought because of wheel clearances Cheers
  3. Ben - any dyno graphs yet for GT-SS?
  4. Roy!! are RB20POWAHH filters the same as 25/26/30?
  5. No worries Geoff - my relocator from Meridian uses the same filter though. I was speaking to Roy and he is still going by the theory that the phsically bigger the oil filter, the better... he should get one of those Mercedes filters that are almost as big as the engine itself I can't answer this question definitely, but I would guess that RB20, 25, 26, 30 filter mounts on the block are the same... Geoff can you confirm? Group buy delivery would be around end of Sept Waiting to hear back from Maxx. Best thing to do is maybe organise a GB for NSW with user Maxx on the forums. I'm just grabbing some for myself from him, so though I'd offer to throw a few more in with mine (to save on shipping) when i get mine.
  6. They're taken from the Nismo.jp website, so I would imagine that they are vs the standard Nissan filter
  7. Team I'm thinking of getting some Nismo Oil Filters from "Maxx" (he gets them from Japan). He mentioned that they'd be cheaper per unit if I can get a few people in Vic who want them too. They would be less than $30 per unit (i expect) and possibly cheaper again the more we get. I'm probably going to get 5 at this stage for myself, so if you're interested, post here and I'll add you to the list. Nismo oil filters: *21% less pressure loss *24% increase in filtration *10% less flow resistance *37% increased life Cheers, Marcus
  8. NO NO NO NO NO!!!! you want +22 NOT +12 - The 12's will move it OUT of the wheelarch and stick out! i almost bought a set of TE37 in 18x9.5 +12 but it is the wrong offset +12 is for R33 and R34GTR !!!
  9. i'm getting a second boot - one with wing for track, one without for road (i hate washing / waxing with rear wings on)
  10. Hi 2510 the body looks super clean... nice one that cam covers and timing belt cover look to me like stripped std covers to bare aluminium. Like Beer Baron said - i'd expect the auction sheet to say 'mines' engine too... Have fun!
  11. Actually the wider the tyre, the lower the load rating - the perpendicular forces acting on the sidewalls, from the tyre face in contact with the road, will be greater the wider the tyre. As a result the tyre design demands a much higher stiffness sidewall for wide tyres. Therfore, generally the crap ride from low profile tyres is from two-fold effects - less sidewall profile to absorb shock, and stiffer sidewalls themselves. Secondly, the lower the profile, the lower the load rating due to the same reason as above - there is more force being exherted by the tyre trying to negate the perpendicular force drawing the sidewall toward the centre of the tyre, versus foce trying to hold the tyre (and car) up in an axial direction. You will find that there are only a few 265/35 (GTR) size tyres that will meet the Nissan placard load requirements - ask Jamezilla who was defected for insufficient load rating on his GTR. Lastly, legally you can only increase rim width by one inch (in Vic anyway). That would mean that the approx max increase in tyre width you can legally go is ~40mm, eg. for a R32GTR with factory 8" wide rims, the tyre is 225/50/16, you can go to a 9" rim, say R34GTR rim in 18x9, which is generally recommended to have no wider a tyre than a 265/35/18 tyre.
  12. Rorza: this is a Japanese upgrade for R32GTR to use JZA80 discs looks like they'll fit ok, but might have a slight bit of pad knock off at the corners as the radius of the rotor becomes larger than the pad was designed for.
  13. a member named "Roy" may be able to shed some light on this subject for you... possibly
  14. would be good if you mentioned what model sky it was going into... i assume R32 from your sig?
  15. interesting Bass if this car has a Wolf, why are the AFRs so... special? or is this something to do with the VVT? keep up the good work
  16. I too am in the dark... Shan please turn on the lights!!
  17. femno that's ALOT of rust! i hope that's not indicative of all 32s...
  18. too lazy to lift up the bonnet stay, hey roy?
  19. It's the rear fog light... don't think you'll be able to get another clear one, unless the LHS clear can be fitted upside down on the RHS...
  20. don't think the output shaft is turning any quicker... it's to do with the meshing of the gears - the meshing of conventional diagonal cut gears are very quiet, vs straight cut gears which mesh quite noisily.
  21. It's possibly a rebody... plates from a written-off GTS on a GTSt and nope the jap plates will not be incorrect
  22. This gentleman is a dodgy trader. He has promised to send me some dash vents, which never came, and when I asked for the refund he said "as soon as next pay". That was 4 weeks ago. He's been ignoring my PMs etc. STAY AWAY I have copied Blitz onto some PMs. Blitz - please can you add him to our bad trader list. Thanks
  23. crap how old is this thread??
  24. Hey EVL032, hope you get your problem diagnosed / fixed quickly I'm not having a go at you, but the reason why people are posting stuff like 'check grammar and spelling etc' is that by using slang / shortening, it makes it very difficult to read and follow what you're saying. That comment isn't directed soley at you; there are many people on the forum who for one reason or another (might think it's 'cool'?) use SMS type slang. I think that other forum users may be more likely to offer advice should the text be written clearly and concisely - and that helps the person posting with the problem by getting more (and better technical) responses. Like I said, hope you get it sorted out, but maybe consider what i've just written above. cheers
  25. though i agree with Baz that you should spend the difference somewhere else
