  1. i reckon Roy should make some stickers up with "RB20 POWAH!!" to go on the spark plug cover... then there's no confusion there
  2. Crap! just read that too! oops. Are the plenums THAT different looking from the top?
  3. I was actually just thinking that there was an extra lump on the RB25 timing cover on the inlet side when I wrote that... LOL But you could go the exposed cam wheel look with RB20 covers and an ECCS sticker on the plenum... sorted
  4. I have *heard* that RB20, RB25 and RB26 cam covers are interchangable... so you might want to find yourself a nice set of second hand RB20 cam covers with a nice big "RB20" on the timing belt cover save the hassles. I would imagine they wouldn't bother checking the engine number if it had a RB20 cam cover.
  5. Well the bilsteins went in on Saturday, with nice big yellow bump stops and 450lb springs. Instantly they felt much more controlled than the Konis that were in it, in fact I had to up the damping on the rear Konis to match the front bilsteins. Very happy with them so far - comfortable at low speeds, and the variable damping seems better at coping with big hits too. The spring rates are much better than before (F 650, R 450) now F 450, R350. The rears still are too hard, and 'skip' a little struggling to keep the back end tidy. Will change over to some 275lbs or 250lbs and see how I go soon. Just can't be bothered pulling the rears out at the moment!
  6. The million dollar question! Just about everyone who has a 32R has a scratched or broken front lip... unfortunately they rarely come up for sale, and 400 bucks for a bit of plastic to me is a bit steep
  7. nice one idiot. (dharvin, that is...)
  8. Hmmm best left for someone with a. more patience b. more skill c. more time, then. Got quoted from Nissan 66ea for the inner and 66ea for the outer boots. So all four boots for front $264. A shop quoted me 3.5 hours to do both sides - remove, repack, replace. Is this reasonable?
  9. Will give him a buzz and ask now... edit: just spoke to Custom Carbon and said that they can do them for $600 and need 2 weeks to make them 2GU UP 2 - he said he didn't charge you for the mould so yours was the 'normal' price
  10. VERY nice. Might have to invest... tell 'em the price son! Genuine Nissan is like $400 or something isn't it?
  11. Car would not have done more than 500kms with torn boots. There is no noise or knocking from the CV, so I assume I can get the boots replaced and repacked?
  12. I'm pretty sure it's not PS - there is packing grease around the CV and looks like spray grease all around it. P/S would be too thin to solidify like that. How can I tell if the CV is shat or if it is just the boot that needs replacing? can you repack the CVs? I remember a thread recently talking about repacking vs. new CVs but can't for the life of me search it out!
  13. pure gold. how about in the dry
  14. HAHA all good mate, just ignored you like i usually do
  15. I've got an R32 GTR and after having the front suspension out today, noticed that the front left (passenger side) CV is leaking greasy crap quite badly (it has sprayed off onto the dump pipe creating a nice burnt look). A couple of questions: 1. are they expensive, and can I get them from Nissan? 2. are they tough to change, for a guy who is spanner-inept (ie. the most i can do is change my suspension over...) or best left for someone with more skill and tallent...? 3. should I do both L & R at the same time considering that if one is gone the other isn't far behind? Thanks
  16. No worries on the hijack! that's the next thing I am going to do... step by step guide to HDD 'backup' gaming is A-OK by me plus got GT4 networked today yay! This should just be the "I don't know anything about PS2, help me!" thread
  17. these will just plug in i expect I have 3 52mm defis in my GTR - but be warned if you remove the 3 std gauges, the oil light will stay on beneath the oil pressure gauge in your main dash... as that light warns for both oil pressure and oil temp I just left my 3 std gauges plugged in and wedged behind the defis
  18. Thought you lost your phone brisby... what's with the 1:30 wake up call last night??!
  19. ...AFAIK, Nismo dash doesn't have a boost gauge in the set... it is a replica of the existing dash in white with a 320km/h or 280km/h speedo... so you won't get a boost gauge anyway. Even if you change the 3 centre gauges to a Nismo item, the boost gauge is a white version of the existing gauge and doesn't tell you the boost in any sort of useful form such as PSI or bar - remains in mm Hg or something.
  20. Still doesn't tell us the name of the shop! Not having a go at you DivHunter, but the information from the organiser seems very selective...
  21. Can't wait to see it. LOVE the MASA front ends for Stageas I want pics of it on your car now now now!!
  22. I'm guessing that is just the MASA panels - bonnet, guards, front bar... I imagine you'll have to get GTR front rad support, bumper reo, headlights etc etc I think that R34 headlights are 400ish each from Nissan... ?
  23. There were about 15 brand spankers Typhoons out the front of FPV for the press release this week... :drooling: I'd have one... or two or three
  24. What is Austech, Bass?
  25. Relax mate. He is a busy man. He continually has good stuff and looks after the SAU guys. Just be patient. I think it is a bit rich you coming on here in Apr '05 and give him a spray without knowing his trader history etc... plus 8 of your 11 posts are related to trading on SAU... Sounds like getting on this site to advertise to me... DoughBoy; I'll take one of each! free bump!
