  1. Thanks for the replies guys, I think that 265/35 would be the go... I think I confused myself in that R34 GTRs run 275/40/18's... When I used the tire calculator, the 265/35s are only marginally taller.
  2. Robo's - it is much easier when the car is on a hoist as the problem you're having is the swaybars trying to keep the wheels flat. Remember that one wheel (the one not jacked up) is causing torsion in the sway bar and trying to lift the jacked up wheel to minimise roll... When the car is on a hoist, both wheels sag at the same height, no torsion effect on swaybars, therefore arms hang at their fully extended natural sag ...at least that's what I thought, and considering that I've taken my suspension out and replaced it a number of times that's what I've experienced
  3. I want to see it nice work Gareth
  4. Did a search, didn't turn up anything solid… For you guys running 18's on an R32GTR, can you please post: 1. wheel size (inc offset and width) 2. tyre size (inc brand) I want to know what options I have for a set of Volk TE37s 18 x 9.5s +12 in terms of tyres. I was thinking 245/40/18's or 265/35/18. *The stock 225/50/16's have a rolling diameter of 631mm *245/40/18's have a rolling diameter of 653mm *265/35/18's have a rolling diameter of 643mm I don’t really want to roll guards (but will if I have to), nor do I want to have *much* rubbing... Which will be a better fit? Cheers
  5. What about the UAS setup then Roy?
  6. Do Harrop have a setup for GTRs? Of course I need some 18's first...
  7. I had some *ahem* temp issues and brakes going away issues... In the morning session 4 laps was all it took to get oil to 120 (with a cooler) and water to 110... Plus when I was on the front straight in the morning we had a *moment* coming up on that red maserati where he was braking, I was braking... and he was slowing down faster than me... I pushed the pedal harder... and got... nothing. All I saw was dollar signs coming up towards him but he turned in just in time I on the other hand had the GTR sideways on the far ripple strip trying to wash of speed like a crazy bastard In the arvo went out for one warm up, 2 flying and one cool down and by the end of the first flying (turn 1) I had no brakes again I think I did something like a 1:38? Funny that last time I went out with less power and farked suspension I did 1:33... As I keep saying, car is capable of sub 1:30, it's the operator who isn't!
  8. That must have been Roy's 32GTSt... wasn't any silver 32Rs there or was I suffering heat stroke?
  9. Admitedly last time I went to sandown I had a bit of a clunk selecting 5th down the front straight... will just be gentle and double clutch it BUT, I'm not out there to set the quickest lap time ever... I don't flat shift and generally double clutch it to save the gearbox... plus what does it save me? Maybe 2 secs around the whole track - i can live with 2 secs slower lap, I can't live without a gearbox! PS will buzz u in the morning
  10. Where did u get the info from your first post, Roy? I didn't find it on the .com.au website for Redline... and they recommended Lightweight Shockproof for the gearbox on my thing
  11. GTR032 can you please post your graph? Thanks
  12. Mate I've got the Redline blue stuff in the gearbox and diff... http://www.redlineoil.com.au/oil-finder.asp
  13. I have heard rumours that Buddy Club Japan are closing their doors... Does anyone know / can substatitate this? If so there may be some bargains to be had with their gear
  14. Richard, that sounds like a good list - I think my turbos run out at the top end, so something like a GT-SS will keep the boost on early yet flow alot more for better top end If you're ever in Melb, I'm happy to take you for a spin
  15. Heading back to Japan eh... I overlaid my graph on a UAS dyno I found on their site here I PDFed the excel spreadsheet, as attached...
  16. West - can you post your dyno so I can compare the midrange to the Tomei cams?
  17. check out brakes... any excuse eh Roy?
  18. I don't have a print out of boost & power vs speed, so can't answer that question. I would be guessing that the stockers are pretty much on the limit at or around 250rwkW in terms of airflow... What sort of improvement could I expect with N1s? 2530s? GT-SS?
