  1. Thanks for that DoughBoy... I'm trying to get some from Japan but i've been told that they on back order until mid october!?! Anyone know where I can get some quickly from Japan?
  2. Hey Ben, where did you find the info? I want to find out which set is applicable for '91 R32 GTR
  3. Gentlemen and Ladies, I am still trying to deal with a misfire issue under load. I am 90% sure it is a dud coil. I am thinking of upgrading to a set of SplitFire coils, but before I outlay, I want to be sure it is the coils... Anywho, will anyone lend me a set (or a couple so I can rotate through the six) for a weekend? I promise I won't do the switcharoony Very much appreciated, as SplitFires are apparently on back order until mid October!! and dammit I want to do Sandown on 24th October It's for an R32 GTR - pretty sure any RB coils should work (please feel free to correct if I'm wrong) Cheers

  5. No worries, will post the info when i get back to melb and dig out the mag
  6. I had three factory LSDs in mine - factory 3.45 'small (housing)' diff - early E30s had this 3.7X 'big' diff 3.9X 'big' diff There are a heap of LSDs that fit from various 3 and 5 series, I have a mag that lists all the ratios back at home in Melb (I'm in perth) that lists the ratio and car they're from. The E28 5 series shares the same diffs. Hope that helps
  7. I think it was the passenger side rubber engine mount
  8. Thanks paul, so the igniter is only bolted down on the driver's side with 2 bolts?
  9. Hi ppl, for those of you who run without the coil cover (that bit between the cam covers) on an RB26, where / how do you attach the igniter? Thanks!
  10. Tax consultant. one of the big 4 accounting firms.
  11. I think you should look at custom engine mounts, as I broke two (can't remember which side, but was the same) engine mounts, both were less than 2 years old. It is the torque of the bigger motor they can't cope with
  12. Some local BMW sites that may be of interest: http://www.bmauto.iinet.net.au/ http://www.bavariacars.com.au/ not local, but good ones: http://www.kormanfastbmw.com/ http://www.activeautowerke.com/main.cfm http://www.bmpd.com/index.shtml
  13. Drop in the E36 M3 motor in there... there are a couple of workshops around Aus who have done it... I'll try and dig up the websites
  14. just run twin 2.25s under the car - they fit fine. That's what I had on the E30
  15. I had an E30 323i with a 2.9L conversion. Blew two diffs, one gearbox, no CVs. Go figure. Torque monster. Build a 2.9 with an GT28 hanging off the side... Block and head from E30 325i, E30 323i rods, custom overbore pistons (sorry can't remember the exact size), crank from E36 328i. I love 2002tii... my old man and I restored one about 10 years ago Here piccy
  16. I have trust ones, they have a flex pipe. 32 and 33 have the same part number, so 33 will fit.
  17. mine are factory 32 GTR repeaters, and line up with the GT badge
  18. How muchy were the coils? I have a feeling my missing problem is coil related...
  19. Thanks GTS500, will give it a shot. I have a feeling it may be coils on the way out too.
  20. Does anyone think that the Iridium plug electrodes are too small and the spark is blowing out on boost? B/c the copper electrodes are a dirty big lump of copper... Will switch back to copper this weekend and see if that works
  21. How is this for a 32 with side indicators?
  22. I have not 'tried' any other pipes except for my Trust pipes. I too will claim that, not so much 'I', but my car, "picked up heaps of power. My car gained extra mid range power, and spool up time was greatly reduced" "Trust me they are worth it, they shit over any of those INSERT ANY OTHER MAKE HERE stuff" A pipe is a pipe is a pipe. As long as construction is good (no weld dags etc) the performance gain will be very similar between brands. Ditto flow.
  23. Please post it!! THANK YOU!!
  24. You bought threee international students for 100 dollar?? Cheap cheap! sorry.
  25. Hi Ray, For compliance it is a requirement to add the side repeater on the guard, behind the front wheel. I have however seen many cars that have been complied and this has not been done. If you have to get them, I've seen alot of people use the clear oval VT commodore (or similar) repeater, though I think a squarer one looks better on a R32 being, well, square and all... If you can get away with it, I wouldn't worry too much.
