  1. yep, my mate has a CRV block (2.2L) waiting to go into his DC2 Type-R with the 1.8L head. Should be a rocket N/A!
  2. hey thats really cool... just before dropping the car into a 200 tonne press...
  3. yo coco, check out the tech article at: www.are.com.au
  4. As above, I have an R33 series 2 rear wing for sale, silver in colour. With brake light, not sure if it's working though. Offers ~ $150 Nice. oh, and everyone knows what a series 2 wing looks like.
  5. Pod partition should give a couple more kws, but was the day warmer this time? how many more kw did you make? I would think a partition would make around 3rwkW difference... could be wrong though
  6. Pushead, the dyno has be re-calibrated to allow for spinning the rollers - hence additional k-dubyas
  7. I posted 160rwkW need a bigger snail and management...
  8. I would like to say that it was a drifter in Japan, and was bought covered in stickers... however, it was stock as a rock - the engine bay is silver, its just a crap picture

  12. Muz, no hurry. That would be great though. Keep me posted and in mind.
  13. Going to go for a Microtech... running (if you can call it that) stock at the moment
  14. I have a feeling that the Stagea rear end and Skyline rear end are the same - ie. multi links, and as such will be toilet for towing a boat. So as much as i like them, they are really no better than your skyline in terms of the needs you want - basically a skyline with a boot. As for the Gen III, I know that a great deal of them have oil consumption problems, due to shit rings and poor running in. They tend to develop piston slap, and this is not limited to the old ones, the current gen 3 still have the problem (though much less common, a problem all the same). The benefit of buying a late model is that you will be able to diagnose any case of slap straight away, and determine if it is using oil. As much as I don't like gen III's, a good example is a strong motor - I have seen supercharged examples at 6psi making 220+ rwkW on standard internals - all they need is engine management to keep them from detonating. Hope that adds.
  15. Thanks Rezz! Going for that smooth factory look - not too lairy
  16. Muz, I will be seriously considering it - I was looking at a new Microtech in early Feb. I will be honest and tell you that my only concern is not knowing its age. Let me know when it is out of the car, and I will also have a chat to the guys tuning the car. I really need aftermarket ECU, as my car is running like a dog. Cheers, thanks for your time mate.
  17. Inasnt - nice. PM me and give me the low down on the dollarage. It might go missing from ice and end up on a silver sky...
  18. Muz, how old is it? And what sort of timeframe are you looking at?
  19. better off getting your T28 highflowed if you want to go for higher boost - then you don't have to bugger around with adapter plates etc or change the exhaust manifold
  20. why exactly
  21. careful mate, some of the stickers could well be clear coated on... will require cutting and polishing after, or maybe even respray that area in clear...
  22. while we're posting our wheels, these are my new babies: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...tachmentid=9443 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...tachmentid=9444 go the buddy clubs
  23. Sam, bringing my mate's Type-R as well - cool?
  24. Inasnt, front bar stays until more money / fatter turbo. Cooler is massive anyway
