  2. look out guys, customs are getting smart. The last 2 packages from greenline i've received have been taxed, and they've somehow got the exact cost of the items as per greenline's site...
  3. nice jay, slipped that one in Will be at the same time as FMIC and EBC. Tune on dyno.
  4. Anyone had one fitted? What gains have you found? and how much would you expect it to cost? cheers
  5. if we could get a sump maybe we can get a custom baffled one made up?
  6. Unique auto sports has bigger sumps for 900 bucks: http://202.139.242.57/
  7. if you were going to baffle a sump i would think you'd want to increase the capacity from 4.5L to at least 6L... there are a couple of shops that have increased capacity sumps available - can't remember off the top of my head. I think it would be a good idea anyway, because 4.5L isn't much
  8. might just do that... has it been plastic welded?
  9. umm... not much more to add here. not too big i guess- it is to go on a 4cyl anyway. melbourne only. -cheers.
  10. got a stock 33 full system inc turbo dump. in melb.
  11. haha... thats not a bad idea, but i just can't be bothered... i haven't as yet cracked the current front bar, but it has no paint on the bottom Means i can't lower it either for the time being
  12. because its cheap!
  13. I've said it once, and said it again: If you go for any sort of synth oil, and you change the oil every 4-5000k's i don't think it is an issue. We should be worried about frequency of change, not so much the oil itself. We can argue till the cows come home about whether mobil/shell/motul/royal purple etc is best, but at the end of the day any of their synths will protect your engine regardless of how hard you drive it.
  14. the engine designation model is an RB25DET - that is what nissan calls it. The Engine Number is stamped in the block, near at the rear behind the turbo - it starts with the block type (in this case 'RB') and then a bunch of numbers and/or letters that mean pretty much bugger all to you and i. To nissan however, it should mean something
  15. Just got home from a spin around the (big) block, another quick note - this will not show up on the factory oil pressure gauge - it is far too slow reacting. You will only really notice it with an aftermarket gauge
  16. nice box? do you mean BOV, rob?
  17. yeah just a bit worrying... it was just on the road, doing maybe 65 with a stomp... was going to hijack your Mobil 1 / Shell Helix thread but thought this'd be better
  18. I was looking at the oil pressure gauge (a trust aftermarket jobbie) yesterday, and i noticed that under heavy braking it drops down (from whatever reading say 5-6bar) to virtually idle pressure (say 1.5 bar). Now i repeated this scientific study a number of times further, and on each occasion it still happened. Note that i did not de-clutch the car and run neutral - obviously pressure will fall off as RPMs drop to idle. What is causing this, and should i be worried? The oil pressure gauge is working normally - is this a form of surging that would require a larger sump? Or is this simply a normal thing on RBs? A little worried, but no nasty noises.
  19. hey cyric, want to get this wing?
  20. my front bar is *cough* a bit worse for wear from driveway approaches (particularly my own drive - the old man has a 911 and every morning i hear is scraping... oh the pain!). i'm going to get the whole bar redone, at the same time get a stealth wing swapped over
  21. nath i thought you already bought a new bar?
  22. pushead, yep thats the one benm that sounds good, keep the replies coming - if anyone has a specific place they've used to plastic weld the bugger in melb that would be even better
  23. Hey people, a question for those of you who have modified a type m front bar for a FMIC - who did the plastic welding for you (to fix the sides of the bar in the middle cut-out) and what did it cost? I'm in the inner east if that helps, but any pricing info is good... and, how much would i look at to get the front bar resprayed after? Cheers ronin
  24. hey ethan, sorry for hijacking the thread, but happy to hear you sold the car. hope you got what you wanted for it bump!
