  1. good to hear, pushead. Will have to go down and check out the mystery muffler - he was getting so excited telling me about it last time I was there lol
  2. Put a massive Greddy sticker on the side; you know, the ones with three oblique gauges, a couple of neons under it and just pimp about... /apologizes for stupid suggestions/ umm... just like what RedLineGTR suggested; full service then don't modify it; just enjoy it and learn the car for a few weeks...
  3. James, how do you want me to exhange the Med for a Small? I can meet you or post it...
  4. iBd14U, read up further how a BOV works. Recirculating BOVs do not 'slow down' the impeller on the intake side of the turbo; it is physically impossible that compressed air will slow a spinning impeller 'sucking' atmospheric pressure air on the inlet side.
  5. Bump. So just me n Rossco then eh? I'm keen on getting it early next week, so any more interest register now and we'll get organized.
  6. Hey Sam, i have to exhange an SAU tee size M for a S with james... can i just pass it on to you?
  7. It is electronic - ECU related i believe (because i've got a R33 dash sitting on the floor next to me). Not sure how the ECU reads it though, unfortunately, sorry.
  8. Pushead, no big turbo yet... but give me until Christmas Let us know how you go at Daalder. Say hi to matt for me - my name is marcus btw
  9. my cat back is a trust 4"... i'm pretty sure my car is stock ride height, but it MAY have lowering springs. Though i have never had any problems with the exhaust collecting speed bumps etc - only the front spoiler on driveways and it is a standard Type-M front bar!
  10. As i understand, it is not a 'legal height' for the exhaust alone, rather the law states something like "the lowest point on the underside of the vehicle must be at least 10cm from the ground"... so seeing that my exhaust diameter is so big, it is the lowest point on the car and it is (i'd guess) about 7cm off the ground.
  11. nismoman18, that is a pic of Inark's exhaust. Mine is below, and sits lower than legal even though my car is at stock ride height. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...=&postid=129138 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...=&postid=129137 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...=&postid=129141
  12. Matt is a mate of my mechanic; he's worked on my car a few times - top fella. If you want to quieten it down a bit just go in and have a chat to him - he's really good.
  13. a mate of mine works there... not sure if he is still there though
  14. do you want it back? I may be able to get it back for next to nothing for you...
  15. what number plates would they be, exactly, dale?
  16. rs73: I have a trust exhaust with the silencer, it is a 4.5" tip; it only reduces the volume about 8-10dB... Any good exhaust shop should be able to make you a bolt in silencer (more or less exactly the same as the Apex'i ones) for no more than about 40 bucks. Try Daalder in Box Hill, ask for Matthew 9890 4444. pushead: What i meant is a muffler that looks like this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...=&postid=398367 instead of just a hot-dog. It will quieten the exhaust down heaps. Again, go see Daalder.
  17. wot, like they won't hear you (and i for that matter) comin?!? hehehe but mine ain't no weapon
  18. pushead, get a inline muffler put in between the cat and the rear muffler. Remember that the more mass you have in the exhaust, the more dampening it will have and the quieter it will be. But also, you can still get 3" centre mufflers that quieten the exhaust down a fair bit that flows well and doesn't rob power.
  19. no worries rossco, and yeah, the mini can wait lol
  20. looks like its just you n me! haha... but yeh, i'm always up for some group action... ummm... with regard to the paint shop stuff that is
  21. DJ, see thread in vic section here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=21209
  22. So, FRISKI is organising a group buy of stealth R33 wings and it will be heaps cheaper if we send all melb orders together. I am happy to organise this for ppl down here Here is the thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...25&pagenumber=1 If you CBF reading it, they are the same as the UAS Stealth wing (or the one seen on the red JMS R33) and are $250 ea. If we send them together we'll divide the cost of shipping ($120) between the number of ppl getting them. As i understand it they come with all mounting bolts etc, and come with a gel coat (?) which i'm not sure if they require any work before fitting. Will keep this post updated.
  23. Friski, i will post a group buy in the Victoria section and see what happens. Either way i'm down for one. A couple more questions: 1. How do you put the Hella 3rd brake light in? 2. From the gel coat, is it ready to paint or does it need futher prep? Cheers
  24. GiJOr33 and DJ, do it... they look FAT from the back with the stealth
  25. OK Friski, as long as they are Top Quality i'm in for one. So they will require slight prep before painting? Any other melbournians want to group ship with me let me know. I will organise payment etc. What time frame are you looking at, Friski? coz i'm pretty keen.
